This would be my first choice as well. However it appears we could have traded down last year and still got James but for whatever reason we stayed put and got James a little early. Early or not at least they got their player and James proved worthy of the pick. IMO we try to trade down and get Johnson but if we have a strong conviction about him and can't move down we take him anyway. It may be a tad early but at least we get our player.

Got to have a trade partner. I think the Dolphins got some offers to trade down but they were further down in the draft than they felt comfortable with so they stayed put and took James.

This doesn't apply to fin heaven. We can trade down for whatever picks we want and still draft whoever we want. And any free agent that signs somewhere else, could of been a dolphin for the same price....

I'd prefer both Waynes and Peters over Johnson.. That 4.52 40. No bueno...

But Waynes will be gone by the time we pick and I DO NOT see this staff taking a dude that choked a coach in the 1st round, so with a trade down into mid 20's I'd be fine with either Hendricks, Johnson or Jones.

i believe jaguars are willing to deal #3 pick could get interesting for those top WRs

Or maybe because we have a B- coaching staff at best?

Not disagreeing with your statement but we're never in position to get quality players and when we are it isn't a need.
