I've seen nothing out of Matt Hazel before tonight, but with the work he is getting tonight the light has really come on. He has a great burst and is one of the faster late round WR's we've had here since I've been watching preseason games in 2004.

I said this in chat and I'll say it again. Hazel is the #6 WR for this team . . . not Damian Williams. Damian Williams gets cut . . . it makes no sense having him as a #6 WR, he's a vet, Dolphins will do him a solid and give him a chance to catch on with Cleveland or something.

Thats my surprise projection for tomorrow.

I didn't think about that, but that nakes a lot of sense

The problem is, the guy hasn't had a fair shot to show what he can do, IMO. Lobato has been mostly terrible, throwing uncatchable crap. I feel the same way about Kevin Cone. How can you evaluate his play when the ball is being sprayed wildly all over the field? Very hard to evaluate the 6-8 WRs.

I still say keep 5 recievers, put Hazel on the practice squad and if you need receiver during the season one of the group of Cone, Williams and Binns should be available.

I keep Darkwa on the team.

I like Darkwa. Lot of potential and I would keep him over Thigpen. But that return job may see Thiggy stay. Williams not even getting a shot to return kicks tonight.

Darkwa is fast but isn't an NFL running back. Between him and Daniel Thomas one looks like a man and the other looks like a boy.
