Definitely, last year is mostly if not entirely irrelevant to 2023. I'm also worried about the other pick 6 he threw in practice and the 3 picks he threw the other day. Tua needs to play at least 2 drives in the game on Saturday and probably more, it would be foolish to sit him as if he's some star QB that has nothing to work on. Belichick used to play Brady in the preseason after he was an established star, so if McDaniel thinks Tua is above that he's wrong. I know that it's a trend now days to sit your starting QB for the entire preseason thanks to guys like McVay. But we all saw what happened when McVay met Belichick in the Superbowl, he got f****** schooled.

Condescending at it's finest, thanks very much. I respect your opinion but if you're going to simply ignore the 2022 NFL season than go right ahead. Your diatribe about motion comes off as if Tua is a rookie and is making the same mistakes he did in college. So, he made a couple bad decisions in practice. Go ahead and look at the other 31 teams forums and let us know how perfect every other QB has been in camp.

Tua should definitely play this weekend, he hasn't been in a game situation in 9 months.

I don’t doubt your right qb play has never been worse/more propped up in the nfl. No one can read the field. But we’ve been tbru this already that qbs ceiling lies largely in his ability to process information quickly and correctly from the pocket. None of his physical tools can carry him.

I’m not looking for flash in the pan stuff I’m looking for every time we show up in your building my qb has the process abilities and strengths to where you’re in trouble. A la largely a drew Brees and a peyton manning. You know contender every year cause of my qb

Wow do people on here overreact to practice int. It means nothing. The haters love it so they can say. See, I told you I’ve been right this whole time. He could throw 6int in practice and I could care less. Just like I could care less if he throws 6 td in practice. It’s practice, it means nothing. We never new how many int Marino threw in practice, cause we didn’t have access like this. Our offense is gonna be great. Not worried.
 
so basically the texans were prepared for Tua trying to move them off their spots thru manipulation, both plays he tried it and it didnt work because they were ready and expecting it.

So Tua will need to expect that from other teams.

Everyone wants this, and hopefully Tua will get there. But after 25 years of QB play on the Jay Fiedler-Chad Henne-Ryan Tannehill spectrum, I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth with Tua. Worst case scenario he’s the best QB we’ve had in a generation and has made our passing attack fun to watch for the first time since Marino.

I would not move on from Tua unless he proves he can’t stay healthy or he absolutely bombs this season. Being a B- processor who has 5-10 boneheaded turnovers this season is not going to be enough for me to think we should move on.
