Tua needs to improve in this area, and it needs to be consistently and if we can develop our run game we will be a nightmare for all teams.

These are excellent examples of where pre to post snap tua needs to improve. Read leverage post snap and come off primarys pre determined by motion etc.

Also if they gonna clog the middle you got to even it you have to hitch to get it there throw to the opposite hash.

And if you can’t make those throws you are limiting the offense somewhat and your magician oc mcdaniel needs to come up with some offsets. Opposite hash for tua is basically gonna require a hitch step to get there on time if not multiple

I could see either Tua or the coaching staff saying one of the ways to avoid taking hits is to throw the ball earlier and maybe the tranisition to doing so is throwing off Tua's timing a a little. That's something that could be ironed out in time, but it could just lead to a few more errors here and there too. I wouldn't be shocked if Tua takes fewer hits in 2023, but also throws a few more ints and makes more poor reads this season too

I think he’s getting a feel for new offensive players in the preseason, oline, RBs and WRs. Some of these throws he would never attempt in a game. Just the fact that Igbo got an INT on him tells you all you need to know. Lol
 
Wasn’t it practice for Tua when we played the Texans last year, I recall he only played to halftime.

Yeah I get with new head coach Ryan’s things will be different and they’ll be better on D this year.

I'm not saying Tua has had a bad camp, but in the last few practices there have been multiple interceptions and multiple pick 6's. I get that it's practice and you want to try new things out, but you should also be practicing protecting the damn football and Tua has not taken good enough care of it recently so yes I am concerned. People worry about the oline, I worry about Tua until he EARNS a franchise QB contract. No one is more important than Tua to the short term and long term success of this franchise.

That's fine, this fan base is too worried about who is and who is not a fan of Tua. If he plays well everybody will love him, if he plays like crap everybody will hate him, such is the nature of sport. I'm worried about Tua's play and the play of the Miami Dolphins, losses literally cause me physical and emotional pain which is ridiculous I know but it's true. I don't have the same energy for wins, losses hurt more than wins feel good.

I still haven't gotten over Waddle's fumble against MIN last year, and I don't give a crap about MIN.

Agreed. I just do not like the situations Tua threw these interceptions. They definitely should not be happening year 4. He’s not forcing throws, it’s processing and read errors. If he was testing tight windows it would be completely different imo.

i asked djphinfan, who goes in person to the practices, if they were specifically working on throws to adjust to this.

he said they absolutely were.

this strategy against the dolphins 2022 offense is not news to you, to me, or anyone else.
