Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

We were extremely fortunate to beat PIT, some of these were awful throws that should have been picks. We won’t get that lucky again this year, Tua needs to cut this **** out. Last years got nothing to do with 2023 thank God. Tua needs to play on Saturday and he needs to play well. SD is going to be tough week 1.

this game basically got us into the playoffs

Naw, that second dropped pick was lucky as hell. Inexcusable drop. 3rd one was easy too. U play like that again they aren’t dropping all of them, statistically speaking.
Do you realize Miami should have had three interceptions against Josh Allen in their game in Miami last year? One of them most likely would have been a pick six. It happens to all QBs at some point. Just like drops by receivers.

Literally. Why is why Bellicheat always says last year got nothing to do with this year because luck changes, and Brady always played in the pre season. I hate the Pats, but you gotta learn from GOATS.

Some QBs are better at protecting the ball than others, Josh Allen ain’t one of them. Tua doesn’t have the physical talent that Allen does to throw dumb ass picks and will his team back like he did against us in the second game last year, final drive. Tua needs to be extra smart and accurate to be successful, can’t have stupid picks like Josh.

You mean chuck the ball up and hope for pass interference?

i asked djphinfan, who goes in person to the practices, if they were specifically working on throws to adjust to this.

he said they absolutely were.

this strategy against the dolphins 2022 offense is not news to you, to me, or anyone else.
they are absolutely testing boundaries.especially behind deep setting linebackers and the sideline.

I don’t even remember how we lost to them the second time last year other than it was the last drive. Whatever f*** Josh Allen, Tua needs to be smarter than him.

I'm going to make another assumption and say the Negative Nellies are complaining about 2 INTs, one of which would not be thrown in a real game, but not a peep about 4 TD tosses plus whatever our other QBs threw.
the only topic here imo is Tua believes his no look eye and head manipulation is one of his biggest strengths, he tried it twice on the defense and both times the defense didnt fall for it, so, because its a copy cat league he will need to take that into account and NOT just trust that its gonna work.

Last year is irrelevant to 2023. I brought up Belichick and McVay because of their two different organizational philosophies, that has nothing to do with the past, it has to do with the present (this coming Saturday in fact). McVay started a trend in the NFL of sitting your starting QB, Belichick has never belived in that and always played Brady in the preseason. Hell Brady even played in the preseason in Tampa, after winning 6 super bowls...

Point being, if McDaniel thinks it's wise to sit Tua all preseason while he's had plenty of struggles in these joint practices, he's wrong and should be ashamed of himself lol. I'll go with Belichick's preseason philosophy over McVay's every time. I think he's had the success to back it up as the correct philosophy, case in point when he destroyed McVay in the super bowl.

"I brought up Belichick and McVay because of their two different organizational philosophies, that has nothing to do with the past, it has to do with the present (this coming Saturday in fact)."

And you type there with a straight face saying this statement isn't really referring to the past?

Who do you think you are "moving the goal posts" on?

Is there anyone else here who finds the above posters referencing the past of two different teams t make his point is consistent with saying the Dolphins 2023 season has no relationship to its 2022 season?

Ok u win Ray, as usual. Yes both are in the past but that’s not the point I was trying to make. My point was u can’t expect last year to have any bearing on this year, and you need to take practice and preseason seriously the way NE has if you want to build a dynasty i.e we better not sit Tua on Saturday. Have a good day sir!

Many fans only seem to count the would-be INT's by their own QB, especially when they have an anti-agenda against that player, while completely ignoring the other side of it.
It's called "confirmation bias". And FinHeaven is quite strong with the confirmation bias force :BNK:
