Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

I’m sorry but society today points there finger away from themselves too often. I don’t care what Watson or Dak are doing. It doesn’t excuse Tua, nor does it even matter for Tua. You’ve missed my point, not all interceptions are created equal. The type Tua has thrown in the scrimmages, against the falcons and Texans are all mistakes he’s already made. I can find identical picks for each one in game film from the regular season.

So you might say he’s testing them out so he knows he still can’t make those throws. I say he should already know that and keep working in the efficiency the offense is and Tua’s game predicated on.

The bottom line is I don’t care if he’s testing himself in practice, that’s what practice is for. I care if he’s making the same mistakes all over again and possibly plateauing on his pre and post snap reads. That’s it.

You don’t need to keep explaining yourself. You’ve done it more than enough and so have I. You can lead a horse to water you can’t make em drink.

(A) I doubt there is a single GM in the league that would take Tua over Trevor Lawrence, including Chris Grier. Lawrence is supremely talented and one of the best QB prospects in NFL history. Herbert just got PAID and deservedly so, enough said. Money talks. You really want to compare Tua to Lamar who is a former NFL MVP (and just got paid) and wins a crazy percentage of games and is breaking NFL records left and right, yea I'll bow out of that one until Tua PROVES he can play at an MVP level AND stay healthy. There's a reason Tua hasn't seen his second contract yet and Herbert has.
(B) Yes the best QB doesn't always win, but Mahomes and Brady have something else to say about that. It kinda matters when building a dynasty, which is you know, the point of the NFL.
LOL. We can agree to disagree.

You're all over the place. Is it the contracts that determine how good the QB is? the winning percentage? the ranking coming out of college? or (as I suspect) do you match the criteria to your pre-determined opinions?

Here let me simplify it for you.

You know damn well if Tua had played better and stayed healthy up until year 4, he would have his second contract by now just like Herbert. Doesn't mean Herbert is a better QB or will have the better career, but his first 3 years were objectively better than Tua's and he doesn't have the injury prone label which you know is not a good thing. That's why Herbert got paid and Tua didn't, he's a safer bet. Money talks. Bullshit walks.

Damn you for making me say nice things about Herbert! but I just gots to keep it real.

That "horse" metaphor also applies to Mules and Ass's. - LOL

Safer but not better. We can agree on that.

And, you think that Herbert is better than Burrow because he got paid first, RIGHT? Money talks, bullshit walks. RIGHT? (hint....now is where you change your criteria to fit your preconceived opinion....)

Lol, Burrow is going to get paid even more than Herbert, everyone knows that unless you’ve got your head in the sand. It’s just a matter of time, may even happen before the season starts because he’s already earned that second contract. If Tua was offered a contract before this season started do you honestly think it would match Herbert and Burrow? I rest my case. Money talks in this league or you’re not paying close enough attention. Ask Dalvin Cook about it, I’m sure he has plenty to say about the RB position but there’s only 1 team that cares and it’s the desperate Jets lmao.

I’d like to hear your retort to how money isn’t relevant in the NFL regarding the true value of a player, that should be rich. And yes, I know GMs make mistakes with contracts like Zeke, but did u see what Zeke did to EARN that second contract?

Back to my original point, Tua has a lot to prove this year, a lot more than Herbert and Burrow for example. Everyone knows that if these 3 hit the open market who would get paid the most and who would get paid the least, hence their value. You may believe that Tua is better than Herbert and I hope you’re right, but the NFL doesn’t and Tua needs to change that starting week 1. Hard to be a contender in this conference without an elite QB, I truly hope Tua develops into one but he ain’t there yet.

You don’t “know” ****. You speculate like a mother but that’s all. Tua is a better QB than Herbert, period, IMO. Burrow is the second best QB behind Mahomes. Lamar is no where near the QB Tua is and the Ravens will regret that contract.

I would know if it was right because - go ahead, say it - Ray is Right.
See how easy that was?

If that were true, explain Watkins and the Browns. - It seems the "Browns Money Talked", but "Watkins (remember all the Watkins "BS") Didn't Walk" - I think he is still there. What a total disaster, paid for a tens'-of-millions-of-dollars for a year he didn't play; and when he finally did play, he wasn't worth what they paid for him.

That would turn-out to be a "fun" post to read. - LOL

Tua beat Lamar one on one already. It’s a team game also

Many can argue Daniel Jones was way over paid too for being a marginal starting qb

Ray is right!

We are certainly starting to string together some pretty significant UDFA signings the past few seasons. Kohou, Pili, Uvuave, Robert Jones.
Even in cases where guys are just solid depth players like Jones (so far) thats a great streak to have finding talent. Kudos to the staff and Grier.
Coach how has the rookie Center prospect you highlighted doing in the practices with Texas?
