I'm already looking forward to McDaniel getting fired. There's just been awful coaching in the Jets, Vikings, Steelers, Texans, 49ers, and this game, and the only reason why we won some of those was because we were just that much better than the opponent that we were good enough to overcome the swing in points provided by bad coaching. But as I learned from the Philbin years, you have to have an absolutely awesome team to get enough wins for a playoff berth.
For some, the Jets game was about being down to the third string QB, for me the story was that the coach was on his third QB in ten days , had a running game averaging 5-6 YPC, and refushed to do anything but throw the ball 80 percent of the time. The offense changes with the QB but the head coaching bad enough to do that will be harder to shakeoff, and boy did that play out over and over and over.
