I wouldn't rule it out but how many teams are gonna snipe a developmental QB? If a team wants a third qb on the 53 it's probably gonna be their own development guy, and few teams do.

I have been saying all along that I thought they would just keep Tua and Bridgewater on the final 53 and hope that they would be able to waive Thompson and then add him the PS once he clears waivers.

I just don’t know if he would clear waivers if they cut him. So if they think he could eventually be the backup in 2023, they may be forced to keep him on the final 53 man roster. It will be interesting to see what they do with him.
