Official NFL Expert Picks for Week 1 Thread

It essentially feels like a must win because a loss to one of the worst teams in the league would be completely deflating and would drain all excitement from the team.
 
The bad side of so much preseason hype. Now we must win this, or be ashamed until the Jag game. Anyone else get the feeling that Tannehill will be a little off in the first game? Pressure, nervousness?
 
Their going to game plan our lb's.

If we know our lb's cant cover they know. And what do you do against a defense thats pressuring or blitzing you, you throw short. Work te's and rb's against lb's. They will be coming with plays that get mis matches on our lb's.

This game isnt going to be the 124-6 blowout everyone has made up their minds is going to happen. We SHOULD win, but, i agree with the opening prediction. Guy was spot on. I dont see a blowout.
 
I keep seeing blowout score predictions...and don't get me wrong, this should absolutely be a blowout...but there is that little voice in the back of my head (and probably ever Dolphins fan) that brings me back to reality and reminds me this is the Dolphins we are talking about...we have a need to make games more dramatic than they need to be. I still think we will win, but it probably won't be a blowout.

Thing is... We probably won't need to blitz...
 
This is a new Dolphin team. One that from top to bottom is deeper and more complete than any Dolphins squad since our early Marino years. I for one refuse to even consider a loss. Not this year. Not this team.

35-10 and I think I'm low balling it.

PS Redskins1 when this happens I do hope you continue to follow us this year and enjoy some winning football while your team rides the Tank for Cardale wave.
 
someone on the ESPN experts picks changed their pick. I think that Caplan guy (whoever he is) originally picked the skins.
 
I feel this is the kind of game this team usually ****s up in. We cant underestimate Washington, no matter how laughably inferior they are.
 
We will win no doubt about it. What worries me, as normal, is having (urr) injuries in key positions. No this is not a jinx.
 
This should be an ass whooping. As much as the talent on Miami has taken steps in the right direction, you can't underestimate the improvements the Dolphins have made in leadership. This team has a lot to prove, and they know that they should be one of the best teams in the AFC. Miami should be playing to put the NFL on notice.
