The Browns are such a clown show. Mayfield is not elite. He's not in the Brady/Rodgers/Mahomes/etc camp of QBs. He never will be. But he's a good QB. He's quite literally the best QB Cleveland has had in decades. He helped take them from laughing stock to respectability and a playoff win. Say what you will about Baker, but he gave his all to the team, showed grit, played through injuries. Instead of cashing out last year, he played through a serious shoulder injury. In response, the Browns spit in his face.

I don't blame him for requesting a trade. If it were me, I'd do the same thing. This is going to get very ugly.

Mayfield has proven to be a mid-tier guy, not the answer at quarterback. Still, there could be teams interested.

Perhaps Indianapolis, which could be a good fit with Frank Reich's success as a quarterback guru.

Would you do a Baker/Tua trade straight up?
Nope, but I don't know what that has to do with anything. Tua may, or may not improve, and has two seasons left on his rookie deal. Mayfield has already shown his probable ceiling.

The situations are not similar in any way.

I still say he's a perfect fit with Seattle.
