I see.

So, which WR at 29 will be arguably the best WR in Football within 3 years?

You can take the sure thing or gamble. 1 is a guarantee.

But when Burks Dotson or Bell are Jags remember, you had a chance to get greatness but chose the cheaper option
I wonder if GB knew Adams was going to be the best WR when they took him in round 2. Or when Seattle took DK in round 2. Or LA when they took Cupp in the 3rd. Tyreek Hill in the 5th? AJ Brown in the 2nd?

Jerry Rice was too slow. 3rd receiver selected in his draft

See, this is exactly what I am talking about.

You could either take the guarantee or gamble.

It's OK to gamble. But don't pretend it's the better option.

Also, if we need to upgrade our WR group again next off season, remember, Adam's wasn't worth that 29 you took a gamble with last season.

Hopefully our pick we chose to not give up for him next year pan's out

That's the advantage of having an elite qb throwing the ball they make wr's better, and that's not a knock on Tua

Ok but in this case, taking the “guarantee” means sacrificing our draft picks and cap space that can be used to fill holes in other spots. Like upgrading the NFLs worst OL.

The idea that we are only one WR away from being a super bowl team is asinine.

Bengals and Chargers showing teams how to properly build an offense around a young QB.

Unbelievable.

That's what I don't understand.

How others don't understand your exact post.

Normally when you have a young, potential franchise QB you build around him.

You don't build everything else and say we'll hope we hit in the draft. Because FA is too expensive.

Who ever said we are 1 WR away from the SB ? throwing that in there is asinine. No one nor I said that.

We had plenty of cap space to get Adam's and improve our O line

We chose depth, and special teams and picked up 3 backs to fix our running game.

So again, I ask, who at 29 are you confident will have the same impact on this team as Adam's would have in the next 3 years?

I don’t think anyone at 29 is going to be as good as Adams.

But Green Bay had Adams for what? 7? 8 years? And they didn’t win any SB with him.

So I ask, how does trading away our draft and sacrificing 20% of our cap space for one receiver guarantee that we will get to the super bowl?
