I also think the Watson thing is holding some UFA stuff up.

But man I cannot wait to watch the QB drama unfold once he makes his Labron Choice.

Jimmy G?
Mayfield?
Kyler Murray (did he and AZ make up, will he be in AZ, will he play baseball?)

Last year, over a third of the teams changed their starting QB. It looks to be the same this year. Those numbers seem high.

Depends on the team. For the Dolphins, it makes more sense to do what we did, but it doesn't really close the talent gap between us and the better teams in the AFC. The moves we have made are almost is an admission that Grier doesn't think we are ready to hang with the big boys, so we are signing quantity average talent or keeping our own average talent (Ogbah excluded), many of whom are on short, cheap contracts to buy us another year of doing whatever we are doing. It's like we are signing placeholders. Maybe it's the right strategy in the long run but it sure is uninspiring. As you said, time will tell.

For the Raiders, it makes more sense to do what they did. They were already a playoff team and their division has an arms race going on talent-wise, so they made a huge move for a player established as one of the best in the NFL. To me, the Raiders move will be the relatively more impactful one, because superstars typically make the bigger difference in the NFL.
Yes, they do feel like placeholders. Are we planning on draft picks to fill these needs long term?

It does and one was an unforced error in CLE. They should have known the mental ego and babiness of Baker dating back to OK. And while they should not care in theory should have known their open flirting with Watson was going to cause an issue with the best QB they have had in a Decade plus.

I wonder if the Saints don't get Watson, will they change their concept and start to rebuild? They did resign many of their own players, so I guess they could start trading them. If the Saints want to rebuild they could possibly get a lot of draft picks with the talent that is on that roster.

My intel I have had since Wednesday is he has. Which has been right so far. I was told he was down to 2 teams wednesday morning. (Saints and Falcons) I was told Wednesday Night "Saints won, and should be finalized as early as Friday, but no later than Monday". SO I will see how accurate this information is. But so far it has been enough that I will post it here.

Fair enough I respect your view on it I just thought he was more versatile and maybe have him come out of the backfield. Don't get me wrong Woods is a very good wr just thought Shenault gave us more versatility and different looks
IMO Shenault is more capable out of the backfield than either Wilson or Waddle. I would use the latter two on jet sweeps, but not between the tackles. Shenault could be used like Deebo or Corradelle Patterson was.

Wow, I can see that, but I think he has decided on Atlanta, and all that he is waiting on is to see if they can trade Ryan. I heard that Watson actually reached out to the Falcons while the other teams reached out to Watson. I guess we will see,

In this line of thinking I am surprised that Miami hasn't tried to sign Patterson. Maybe they have and we don't know it, but you would think MM would want him in his offense.
