Even if he just plays out this year for the tender, which most likely would be the case, and becomes a UFA next year, we would get his services, at a reasonable price for just this year. Is it not worth add'l picks/players for his services for one year ?? That is what most of us are talking about....

Well said Larry! And that year may turn out to be only the last six games if he sits out... which does us no good at all. He's as good as gone after this year so let's get it while we can. It all comes down to who wants him & if they need him now and badly. Otherwise, if they can afford to wait, they can still get him as a UFA and keep their pick(s).
