OK guys, I've been very out of the "loop" lately.

Find Ricky Brown, he can be your body guard!

OK, I'll see what I can do.

keep in mind, they're trying to entertain you, not inform you. they're going to pick the most sensational stories and run with them. the mobs don't speak for the majority, and shouldn't stop others from helping.

I'm sure that's the first thing the Helicopter pilots and people stuck in the Superdome are thinking!

But it's great DD28 wants to get back and give back!

DD glad to hear you're OK, physically at least;) ...

My prayers to you and yours and all those that are now suffering through the aftermath of Katrina...

Thanks again so much guys for the well wishes and updates!

Yall are the best!

BTW, since I feel that I am extremely blessed to have a place to stay outside of New Orleans, I am going to volunteer as soon as it's possible to get back into the city.

There are thousands who are homeless right now and just need a helping hand. As soon as N.O. is accessable again, I'm going to go help.
I just think it's the right thing to do.

Welcome back DD I'm glad you and your family are safe.

Welcome back DD28, I don't post much but I am always lurking, and I have missed your input....if there is anything we can do (that the media is not reporting) to help with the relief efforts let us know...

yeah, it is great. and i merely made my point to emphasize that we can't let a man-made fear stop us from acting to help others. how many people will die from waterborne diseases or from a simple lack of food and water as opposed to how many people die from being shot by a mob? the real story is not in the lawlessness, imo.

You have no clue how much that means. Really.

Thanks.

All I can suggest is just donate a little to the Red Cross. Maybe participate in a food drive. Every little bit helps.

I can't wait to help out physically as soon as I can get back into town.

Good for you! My wife and I wanted to do the same thing, but we have three daughters and a dog, and we are taking classes in college. It's not like we can just pack up and go. I'm not working right now, and money is tight (especially now that gas prices have skyrocketed). We can't give much, but every little bit counts, I suppose. When we find the right charity, we will give what we can, but until then we are just going to give blood.

Take Care, if you go, and keep us posted.

Hey DD28

My 11 year old son has a scrimage tonight he says he's going to try and get a sack just for you tonight :)

If you can get a pic of him playing, I will gladly put it in my signature.

That means a lot. Tell him I wish him the best of luck and I hope his team wins, along with him playing awesome.

Thanks a lot!
