fire this regime and go after Gruden, Cowher or whoever. Do we tear apart this whole team and start over from scratch and wait another 3 years to see what we have? Or do we evaluate what we have now and add to it?
My point is this Dolphin team is still a young team that needs maybe a couple of more pieces and just needs to be coached by a competent coach. And if we do go in another direction, have we seen enough from Henne to keep him?

Add to it. This team has a good amount of talent. It's just poorly coached and managed. This team could be a playoff contender with a real coach.

I agree, the talent here is good enough to compete, we need a leader, real HC to put it all together. Ross knows he secrewed up, that's why I believe he has already made a decision to remove TS, he is just deciding when.

We need to add to it. Get a competent coach in here then all the sudden some of those draft misses become hits and all the sudden we're looking good. Let the coach get his QB (as long as he's not on the current roster) and rebuild the line. We have pieces. We just need someone to lead.

def. add to it! bring a coach, have him move up to grab "his guy" at QB and we are contenders the first year.

We need to add to this team. There is talent, but it simply is not used well at all.

No we need a lot more talent, or at least guys that have a different attitude or something. This team is very beatable with the talent we have.

At Gruden and we will tear apart this whole team. Move back to the 4-3, draft 7 QBs and see where that leads us.

We hire Cowher, if he wants to come out of retirement, and at least the defense stays 3-4, we add some talent on D, draft a QB, move to power running game and vertical passing game. Lose the stupid Parcells drafting requirements of 3 years experience, seniors, blah, blah, blah and start drafting the BPA and infuse some playmakers on this team.

Outside of the retreads at coaching though. OC from Green Bay, Joe Philbin is intriguing, Mike Pettine DC of the Jets is a young up-and-coming coach and Pete Carmichael OC of the Saints is another guy I have my eye on although I think he may switch the defense to the 4-3, not sure though.

That is the one thing I will give them partial credit on. The cupboards were bare when they got here, there was a huge talent gap. They've done a reasonable job of restocking to where we have a solid young core. Guys like Long, Pouncey, Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Wake are all solid players still on the rise (with better coaching) Marshall is our first legitimate elite offensive weapon that other teams actually have to worry about. I was pleasantly surprised with Daniel Thomas yesterday. So, see how Henne does this year, draft a legitimate competitor to him. Build on this solid young foundation.

But the coaching is where we are embarrassing ourselves. I don't feel like they do anything to actually make the players we have better individually, "coaching them up". They also aren't getting the most out of the talent we have. Why are they the only ones that insist Reggie Bush be a between the tackles runner, when they could get so much more out of him in space?! Why hasn't our o-line guru head coach figured out a consistent line? They should be dominant considering the draft picks and money we've spent. Why do Nolan Carrol and Reshad Jones give up a td pass to Johnson that my 11 year old could make? Coaching. Why do we get a long pass along with 2 personal foul penalties against Houston, giving us great field position, then immediately break the huddle with 12 players and put ourselves in 1st and 15?! Coaching.

I was trying to make this point before about how everyone hates on the FO but they have brought in so much more talent then we have had here since the late 90's. Sure they have missed on a few players here and there and on a few draft picks but so has most FO's in the league. We just notice it more cuz we r fans of this team. As far as the coaching staff i like nolan ( even though they look bad this year so far) and daboll's new offense doesnt look bad at all and alot more exciting then they have looked in the past 10 years. They are not scoring in the red zone like they should be but they need to fix that. I think this last win was on the players not on the coaches as much. Brandon marshall dropped a TD. Carpenter missed 2 FG's. Thomas fumbles on a drive that could have given us the lead. Thats all on the players. Im pissed about this loss but to call for his head now is alittle knee jerk. And im not totally sold on sparono as coach but i really dont want to have another 2-3 years of rebuilding. And im not sold on gruden as our coach anyways.

Look at the great teams in the NFL (Pittsburgh, the Packers, New England),,,,they all have stability and they bring guys in to fit their system. We have to start with a great coach and a GM who can do the shopping and bring in the right players. Cowher or Gruden and a great GM are what is needed. I don't think we have to dump all the players but there is a lot of dead wood and guys who are just pretty average to poor out there.

I don't think Gruden or Cowdher would come here or anywhere else. They retired for a reason. Now, they are making pretty big money talking about the game instead of working 18-10 hour days.
