For all of you who think the 2006 QB draft is SO much better than this "thin" one, who thought we had "so many other needs" and just couldn't STAND the thought of us "WASTING" a pick on QB this year, tell us now...

WHO SHOULD WE PICK IN 2006? Who is gonna be our next Franchise QB?

Someone will have to emerge. There are a couple of prospects that are on the radar and may emerge as first round picks. However, the landscape overall for 2006 looks bleak. The next really great quarterback prospects were freshmen last season or red shirted last season. Guys like Chad Henne, Erik Ainge, Rhett Bomar, and Anthony Morelli are guys who have the ability to make a big name for themselves in a push for teh 2008 draft.
 
You guys need ti chill and wait and see how AJ develops.

If not then Charlie Whitehurst is the sort of player than can have an Alex Smith type rise to the 1st round.

His big downfall is the spread offense they run. but we could probably Get him as an UFA and send him to NFL europe and see how he developes
