Omar Kelly is on a mission

Actually Dave Hyde is the one that first suggested it and wrote an article. But its still ridiculous.

Someone pointed that out already but Omar took it to another level for sure.

As bad as his rant was, and the guys on NFL Radio that night joined in on the rant making me even more angry, the caller afterwords who was a Seattle fan said he felt much better about his team after listening to that. Seattle has Charlie Whitehurst and Tavaras Jackson for goodness sakes.

Per Omar, BMarsh hates him now at the moment also. Didn't say why but he said Brandon is not happy with me at the moment, and that he betrayed Brandon's trust.

Probably because of all the negative attention he's bringing to the team. The Dolphins were already on shakey footing to start the season after Ross and Ireland flew out to meet with Jim Harbaugh...but the media mostly forgot about that already. Now there's a huge ominous cloud of negativity surrounding the team stemming from a few dumb fans that thought it would be fun to chant for Kyle Orton and a local media that likes to throw gasoline on a fire.

Also wonder if Marshall is getting behind Henne, since he realizes he is going to live or die with Henne this year.

Damn. Lot of people hate Omar.

I have to admit there are certain aspects of his game that really irk me to no end. But I try not to hate. Unlike most of the beat writers, he actually likes the Dolphins, is basically a fan, and he works hard at what he does.

He's playing to a market though. Whether you like it or not the Dolphins have inspired a pretty well populated faction of fans that like to talk about what an embarrassment this regime is, how much the Dolphins are going to suck, how much they can't wait for the next regime to take over, etc. And I don't think they're wrong for it. It is what it is. Win some games, give some people some reasons to hope, if you don't want that to happen. And for christ sakes don't go 1-7 at home in front of your own fan base. They're reaping what they sowed.

I am not a big fan of Omar but I always gave him props for being the most active Beat writer on twitter and the one beat writer who answers the fans questions the most including my own. So I put up with Ego. Its his Arrogance that irks me the most.

I've gently inferred this before, and I won't elaborate beyond the following now, but IMO Omar is a POS who views personnel through his own questionable myopic filter.... Nothing he's written since this first dawned on me has done anything other than reinforce this conviction.

Are you serious? Really you want heads early? If so you and Omar need to retire. Wow. How has changing coaches every 3-4 years worked for us? Oh right not very good.

Well, I can promise you it will work when we hire the right guy. And management has already proven they aren't happy with Sparano sooooo.....?

I need to get a sirius radio. I have never heard of this guy before I joined this forum. Is he really that biased?

I can tell you the beat writer for Buffalo is a realist, but he does not continually bash the Bills. A lot of fans around here actually think he is too soft.

Believe me when i say this. I cannot go to practice this year due to medical reasons but last year, I rarely missed one. I loved it. Then later in the day I would read what he either tweeted or put in print about practice and this is honest answer. I wondered if this guy was even at the same practice I was watching. They can throw a guy in for one play, one friggin play and he automatically tweets " SO and so practicing with the ones " Thats not only it, he simply is a moron. I watched him after practice. Outside of the assistant to assistant trainers, almost everyone walked in a different direction when he came towards them after practice. I have no idea other then he is related to the person who makes the hires where he works, he is horrible. He is more worried about how his Air Jordans are displayed then what comes out when he hammers on the keys. Omar, I pray you are reading this because I know its fact you read our stuff here. Please, go someplace else and pissss their fans off, please. I personally will give you two new pair of Air Jordans of your choice.

I don't think Omar has to do much, they're doing a pretty good job of it themselves. The coaching (Harbaugh-Sparano) debacle being the biggest embarrassment I've ever seen.

I didn't hear the rant, but based on your description it's hard to disagree. We HAVE been an embarrassment post Jimmy Johnson. You're talking about one of the most successful franchises in all of sports degrading into a laughing stack in a matter of 1 decade. This isn't on the fans or the reporters--it's on the owners, the GMs, and the coaches. THEY have failed us. They are lucky to have us as fans.

If we had competent people running the show like in New England, or Green Bay, or Atlanta, would Omar be suggesting we pick up Brett Favre? Point the blame where it's deserved.

And by the way, there isn't a national attention about booing Henne. No one gives a **** about Henne. Or the Dolphins. We are irrelevant. People give a **** about the Pats, the Packers, the Eagles, the Jets, the Steelers. It may be a big story in South Florida, but it's not a big story nationwide.

This is the most accurate statement I've read on here in a very long time
