it is my understanding that the estimate to return to game action, for pouncey's procedure, was ALWAYS three to four months.
despite the fact that he is doing well in rehab and everything else seems to be progressing as planned, a few weeks ago armando (and who knows who else) started saying that pouncey is likely to miss more time than initially thought, might miss half the season.
i have no idea where that came from. yes, if he misses three months he will be back on 9/23 (for game 4 against the raiders in london), and if he misses 4 months he will be back on 10/23 (for week 8 against jacksonville).
since that was ALWAYS the prognosis, what new information became available to prompt armando (and whoever else) to say that he may be out longer than initially thought? certainly nothing that has been reported on from inside the locker room or out on the practice field.
to my mind, nothing has changed, nothing has transpired, pouncey is working hard and trying to get back by week one, but should be ready by week 3 or 4 absent any setbacks.
