Omar Kelly's Top 25 missteps during the Trifecta's Reign (Trip Down Memory Lane)

This all my opinion.

#1.) Parcells getting his friends rather than the right people.

#2.) Drafting a franchise LT over a franchise QB.

Matt Ryan

#3.) Hiring Dan Henning to be the OC

#4.) Constant hiring of a poor special teams coach

#5.) Constant churning of the roster.

#6.) Drafting Pat White

#7.) Not making the QB position a priority.

#8.) Getting rid of Matt Roth for whatever reason.

#9.) Overuse of Wildcat that killed drives.

#10.) Signing Gibril Wilson.

#11.) Refusal to address the Tight End and Safety position.

#12.) Drafting Jared Odrick instead of Dez Bryant.

#13.) Constant signing of Cowboy rejects

#14.) Ross getting a ton of celebrity owners and embarrassing the franchise.

#15.) Overpaying for free agents

#16.) The offensive line sucking even though Sparano is a O-line coach. Struggling to find interior guards.

#17.) Conservative play calling. Playing for Field Goals. Sparano jumping around and fist pumping like a moron.

#18.) Terrible FA signings like Eric Green and Ernest Wilford.

#19.) Benching Chad Henne for Chad Pennington; throwing him under the bus and ruining his confidence in 2009. We all know how that turned out.

#20.) Signing Reggie Bush (an injury prone 3rd down back) to be the starting RB over Bradshaw and Williams.

#21.) Not re-signing Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown back. They instead sign Larry Johnson.

#22.) Not drafting pass rushers. Just refusing to get OLB depth. Koa Misi is not a good pass rusher. No depth leads to very old Jason Taylor starting. That leads to no pass rush and the defense getting burnt.

#23.) Matt Moore being the big QB in free agency and backing up Henne. The whole league was laughing at Miami.

#24.) 1980s Philosophy of building the trenches. This leads to too much time and effort on the defensive and offensive lines, which then leads to not drafting play makers!

#25.) The whole Harbaugh trip that embarrassed the whole organization. Ross was looking for a new coach while Sparano was still around. Tony becomes a lame duck HC basically. This leads to the events of today where the players did not really prepare for the 2011 season knowing Sparano is gone. This leads to an 0-4 start and the fan base wanting to clean house and "Suck for Luck."

Well that was painful to write. Sorry guys. Hopefully this franchise can be successful again.

More shoddy journalism and terrible writing from Omar.

Note, that if this was a post on Finheaven, I wouldn't have much issue
with it's content because we are not paid, professional writers.

#1.) Parcells getting his friends rather than the right people./#3.) Hiring Dan Henning to be the OC/
#4.) Constant hiring of a poor special teams coach
All these points could have been combined. It's like a child writing this thing, I swear. This is actually sub-Finheaven
quality writing.

#8.) Getting rid of Matt Roth for whatever reason.

Matt Roth is on his 3rd team in 6 seasons. What does that tell you? Oh yeah...That 3rd team? The Jags.

#21.) Not re-signing Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown back. They instead sign Larry Johnson.
Did you see Ronnie Brown last week with that neat "Flea Flicker" at the end zone? Yeah. That's the
quality of play we need to help us.
Ronnie Brown: 13 for 38, and no TDs. More fumbles than TDs
Ricky Williams: 33 for 136 and no TDs. More fumbles than TDs.
Daniel Thomas 41 for 202

That's right. Daniel Thomas has out produced both those guys.
It took me exactly three google searches to find those stats. Omar
is about as lazy as they come.
#16.) The offensive line sucking even though Sparano is a O-line coach. Struggling to find interior guards.
The offensive line is not his job. Running the team is. You want to put blame
on Sparano for the whole mess? That's fine. Talent aquisition in Ireland's job though.

I could go on, but the rest of it is pure opinion, so we could argue that until
the cows come home. I'm not trying to defend this FO or staff, but I think there
are plenty of things to be mad about other then the stuff Omar just creates out
of thin air.

Can we please stop with the Odrick over Bryant argument? Dez went 25th and we had the 28th pick! jesus christ!

That's because Miami traded down from around 18 or so. Miami could have chosen Bryant but they traded down and missed out.

We traded down from #12 to #28 to pick up a 2nd rounder, which we used on the awesome Koa Mising.

1.) Ricky or Ronnie is better than Slaton or Johnson.
2.) The Matt Roth situation didn't make sense.
3.) I typed it at 2 in the morning so I was tired. Sorry for the grammar. Anyways, I think you can separate the special team signings and Parcells getting his friends.
4.) Sparano is the HC. He has a lot of say on the offensive line.
5.) This is all my opinion again.

Agreed with everything except number 19.
Same old, coaches that draft and sign their friends instead of adapting their tactic to the players they have.
Building trenches and building trhought the draft instead of signing big time ability playmakers at skill positions like wr, safety and qbs.
It can all be resumed in Parcells stupid phrase:
¨three things happen when passing the football, and two of them are bad¨
Well, guess what , thats what wins games, passing the football.

Omar constructed this list based on fan input on twitter. Its not all his for those who always just love to bash him.

The guy is giving his opinion and has some good points. Why do so many on this board criticize someone for giving his opinion? There is too much jealousy and wanna be's around here.

The Tuna was/is on the downside of his career and really was not particularly interested in building a winning team for the future. There are plenty of signs but the most obvious are Tony Sporano and Chad Henne. The jury is out on Jeff Ireland since Sporano was Parcells guy. And soon (hopefully) we will be able to see what Jeff Ireland can do with his guy (whoever that is) as head coach.
