Omar: South Florida has some of the worst sports fans in the nation

Well for that playoff game, the entire world knew we would get spanked by the Ravens...

Why spend your money if you knew the result?

Wow you really are giving excuses for not going to a playoff game??? IT's a F***IN Playoff Game!

Its the truth....my father works all the marlins games(whose games are most crowded against the Mets and Phils) and the phins games. He said miami is a city where fans will go to see their team(Phinz), when the Jets patsies and even the bills come down you will see same fans wearing THEIR JERSIES... With the heat, the fans are known for showing up with 6 minutes left in the first quarter whether it be a playoff game or regular season game. Too many transplanted New Yorkers and Bostonians down here...It shouldnt come as a surprise for anyone, although a ALL MIAMI fan like myself gets a bad rap for these fair weathered fans.

That's great, but again, you're not supporting your own local team. Living in Ohio, you got the Bengals and the Browns.
I'm from Miami. what cause i had to move up north in my teenage years i am supposed to change my team. lmao you logic is that of a clowns

I don't know why it's so hard to understand or accept that most consumers will not buy a bad product. If we were like some teams' fans and filled the stadium every Sunday whether or not the team stank, what would motivate the management to put a winning product on the field? There has to be a financial reward for winning and a financial punishment for losing. If they want my dollars and my fanny in the stadium buying outrageously priced concessions, there has to be a big, happy party at the stadium, not a lot of frustration. I can be frustrated right at home in front of the TV; thanks. Call it whatever you like.

or until the Dolphins to LA conversations start.

i would kill to be in some of your positions. if the dolphins won 14 or 2 i would still be a season ticket holder. i recently had a full on argument about the gator game on twitter, and the truth is if south FLA fans put thier butts in the seats there wouldnt be a reason to have the "gator game"

:sidelol: Oh god, the LA market is even worse! Hilarious.

probably so, but the truth is that its not far fetched for ownership to move a team who's losing fan base...thats the point of moving a team...and LA will be packed for years because they are getting a team BACK so is it a great long term investment? heh....but short term would have proved a great investment.

couple of years ago i was in the GA dome for the opener vs the falcons and there was about a 2 or 3 hundred fan tailgate in the back of olympic park and i loved it...there was a section that fins fans dominated. and people travel long and spend alot of money to do what South FLA fans can do so easily. i dont get what the problem is

It would be packed so long as it's still the newest fad, then gone. Lakers are king there and always will be, yet people still don't show up until the middle of the game. Further, he would have to consider the costs of the move, the taxes, etc. Simply not worth it when it's much easier and cheaper to just put together a winning team in Miami and achieve the same thing.

The Phins moving to LA is absolute nonsense, especially when there are Jacksonvilles and St. Louises in the league.

i didnt say it made absolute sense for management thats not my argument.. the point of my post is to show that if the numbers continue to decline the team would be looked at in danger of moving. and you proved my second point. whoever the new team will be in LA will be a fad that would fill stands for at lesat 5-10 or even 15 years, which equals an above board financial investment

Phins moving to LA is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. There are at least 4 teams with infinitely better odds of going there-- Raiders, Chargers, Vikings, Jaguars. The Lakers are kings because they have made almost half of ALL NBA Finals appearances(over 40% of all NBA Finals), they seem to pump out NBA hall of famer after hall of famer and non-stop dynasties. If and when the Lakers ever produce a DECADE of incompetence like the Phins have, you could bet that it will reflect greatly in attendance. This is something our clown owner can't seem to grasp. The Lakers attract celebs and fans because they're always good, not because they have B-list celebs owners.

Even in the crackpot hypothetical scenario where the Phins leave Miami, it would take less than 1 year for an opportunistic owner to move a new team to Miami. It's a good and profitable spot to have a football team.
