On Paper: Best to Worse

People forget he was pretty mid in 2022 and then proceeded to rupture his Achilles. I think it's reasonable to expect a worse 2022 performance
..or that only 2 QBs in the history of the NFL have finished a full season at 40 or over, Tom Brady and Brett Favre. Favre's full season was pretty middling as well. The stats for QBs over 40 aren't good. I couldn't find stats for QBs over 40 coming off major injuries, but there's probably a reason for that.

It surprises me that so many Jets fans are confident they will win the division let alone think they're top contender outside of KC in the conference.

Absolutely! Well said, my friend.

I agree. Living in Jets country i listen to WFAN sports radio. For the most part they think If Rogers stays healthy they win division. That really applies to all teams really.
Jests fans are more delusional than other fan bases.

Rodgers played them like the tools they are. That contract was one hell of a "golden parachute" for AR and a long, smelly "golden shower" for their fans.

Until Miami proves they can win in December and January; it's hard not to be leary, inspite of the talent on the team.

The offense appears loaded, while the defense is in transition, due to the new coaching staff, F/A losses and the adjustments from the new players signed. How this plays out remains to be seen.

The offense looks like it'll need to carry the team, until the defense becomes comfortable in it's new scheme. Lots of questions on defense.

Lastly will coach McDaniel finally put it all together? Will he have the lapses as in years past? All valid concerns.

I think Miami will be more of the same and finish 2nd in the division.

It feels as though there could not possibly be a worse 1st game back opponent for Rodgers than the one the Jets have in opening @SF.

If all 4 are in same injury status....

Dolphins
Jets
Bills
Patriots
That's the wildcard in all this. Miami has been pretty much decimated by injuries over the last two years and still managed back-to-back playoff appearances.

Obviously, the team didn't finish strong both seasons. But if the Dolphins are a little luckier than Buffalo and the Jets on the injury front, that's probably the difference.

Luckier? Rogers from the get go. Milano+Miller.

**** nevermind I sound like @EasyRider now šŸ˜‚

I admit to being in full on fan boy mode but the roster and coaching backs it up (DC still a question mark to be fair but i think we upgraded). That said, if luck iis on our side as well, lookout NFL.

Those Injuries were bad, but...

1. Losing our two best pass-rushers.

2. Playing musical chairs with the O-Line, to the point at one time only one starter remained healthy.

3. Rarely having secondary at full strength with all 4 starters playing together in that many, if at any games.

4. Our top 2 WRs, and our top 2 RBs getting hit with different Injuries through the season where all 4 never really played many games together, and by seasons end, none of them close to 70% healthy, let along 100.

5. Tua again playing with injured hand.

Miami led the NFL in vital injuries in 2023, not just East.

We were the SS Titanic, started out strong, looked unstoppable at one point, until proven that we were just a few mistakes, and a lot of bad luck away from never getting close to our expected destination...Without the supposed 17 year old girl being drawn in the nude by a 20 year old. šŸ˜ƒ

It's tough, because every team will have injuries. But you can't have entire units decimated and expect success. Miami was relatively healthy early on, but that just wasn't the case during the stretch run.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the super bowl teams are relatively healthy compared to other playoff teams.
