Inflicting harm? On who? He had consentual sex with 2 girls at a party, with a 1 year differance between them. If that's "inflicting harm", then you're not very good at it. Unless, of course, you're on the set of the "Teeth" movie

Well I agree with you to an extent, but let me remind you that someone currently on our roster, Jimmy Wilson actually killed someone (literally) and spent time in jail for it. The whole situation surrounding Joe Philbin's son is both sad, and does not look good, but at some point as adults we all become responsibnle for our own actions. I know two people who are fantastic parents, provided their kids with the best type of home and private school education, and both of their kids ended up doing drugs, getting tons of tattoos and piercings (as minors), neither one went to college, and one of them got pregnant at 17. So I guess what I'm getting at is Joe Philbin should not be judged by the actions of his son. Tony Dungy's son killed himself, and I've never heard a bad word said about Tony. Nobody's family is perfect.

And let me remind you that Jimmy Wilson killed a man who was beating his aunt within an inch of her life. She called Wilson to come and save her from that monster who also had a gun. When he got there he got into a fight with the monster who pulled out a gun. As they struggled the gun went off killing the monster. The only reason Wilson served any time at all was because he didn't have enough money to make bail while awaiting trial. BTW the truth came out and he was cleared.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't "concentual". But it was at a party, everyone was drunk. Theyre teenagers. Mistakes happen. You still haven't explained how his deceased son's mistakes hinder his ability to be a successful coach. I think you're just grasping at straws for reasons, because it's not the guy you want

Joe Philbin, Pete Carmicheal, Chris Petersen, Rob Chudzinski and Marty Schottenheimer were my favorites for the job originally. That was until I learned about Michael Philbin. Then I wiped Joe Philbin off that list. And please don't ever call raping someone a "mistake".

MISTAKES? I don't know if you have children but if you have a daughter I think you may feel differently if this MISTAKE happened to her. Let's not downplay a rape case because of the age or intoxication level of the parties involved.

Did I say that what happened was ok? I don't remember saying that. I'm just saying that what his high school son did, has no weight in his coaching ability.

Philbin isn't even #1 on my list, but this should NOT be used against him

Since when is Finheaven a site for a cruasade by one man making a ridiculous point about something he knows nothing about? Unless you were at the said party and observed the situation you have NO IDEA what occurred. Before crucifying Philbin for being an awful parent and therefore not a good coach( has to be the dumbest argument I have ever read), realize that all you have is a document.....you have no idea what really happened between dudes son and the girl. If he was guilty, then he should be punished. Leave Joe Philbin out of the equation. As far as this thread goes, I thought this was a forum about the DOLPHINS not a place for someone to spout off about his own beliefs.
