Only fair to give AJ the start

so now your talking about RBs? i guess you have trouble realizing theres different situations for each position...

No, I just want people to realize that a stat line in a pre-season game is meaningless. I would never be serious about that!

especially in an offense that focuses itself around downfield passing. LOL How the heck is that accomplishing the scheme. It's like telling your kid to brush his teth everyday, and the kid will do it, but they won't put toothpaste on the brush.

Good analogy!!!!

lol@getting angry, its ok kid, its not a big deal...

I am almost old enough to be your father son!

I am not angry, I just have to laugh at 24 year old kids scouting a qb situation and finding a reasonable logic as to why the head coach is blind and he can see the light.

Like they say, kid you should listen to your elders! Nick knows more about football today than you will ever dream of knowing.

Gus has pro-bowl talent. Lokk it up! He has been there.

I hear you on earlier post. This one is worthless though. Who cares when he went to the probowl....he is not pro-bowl caliber now. What he is now is what counts for us. Saying, go look it up he made it one year, is a ridiculous statement.

Who cares what is FAIR. Start Gus. the team needs to play with confidence and they have confidence in Gus. There are more positions that QB to evaluate and it is time for consistency. There is a QB battle every year in Miami and it has become a tired situation, for players and fans. Fix it, make a plan, stick to it. FAIR is irrelevant.

the big font was really necessary then?

and im not doubting anything about saban at all, if he goes with gus i go with gus, if he goes with sage i go with sage... i just find the unfair bias people put towards players at times funny and i feel the need to defend that player...

and i also have my opinion on the matter... and that is if gus and AJ are about even in what they will do to help the dolphins this season, you start the young guy because he can still improve, plain and simple... im not saying start AJ forget gus, if gus does well and can get his head on straight and throw some accurate balls im all for him playing for us, i think our defense will be real well and with some QB and oline consistancy i think we ca nbe a good team..

but if in the grand scheme of team success, gus will do no more than AJ, then AJ should get the nod... the end

Palmer is gonna bust loose and dominate this year

Maybe. But at what cost to last years potential? That is all I am saying. Palmer has no excuse not to. CJ has probably the best hands in the game and dedication that of Rice. TJ and a slew of talent to throw the ball to.

Regardless, he was a 1st round selection. AJ is not. You have to give a 35 mill dollar man his chance. I understand. But what has AJ really ever proven to warrant another 4-12 growing pain filled season instead of a potential 12-4 season. No, I am not predicting it jus a referece that sound good. I bet 8-8 or so.

Even if we were going with the Wannstedt-ian way of thinking.....What is fair? That scumbag Feeley had his fair chance and got beaten out. Period. That's fair.

You seem to understand what the plan is without really comprehending it.

Gus is outplaying AJ! That is why Scott and Nick have named him the starter. They feel that he gives them the best chance to win. For anybody to say Gus is inacurate, I beg you to watch the Gus/Randy highlights. He hit MOSS in stride time and time again. Moss liked Gus's ball better than Peps. Now I am not saying that he is better than Pep, just that Moss likes the Gus ball better than DC's.

"It just isn't fair mom! Everywhere I go, I get beat out. I end up an over paid pine riding, clipboard holding, scout team qb. Why does it always happen to me! IT JUST ISN"T FAIR!!!"

C'mon...do you hear yourself? Are you telling me if palmer wins the SB, the fans, coach and team are going to be upset b/c they still think about the year before's potential? The reason Palmer looks so good this year is b/c at the end of last year he and CJ started building chemistry with one another last season. No matter who we get in the future, we will go through the same growing pains.

Going 8-8 is definitely better than 4-12 again. But if we see life in feeley and he shows he can get it done, that is worth the season b/c it will be better for us in the long run. We won't hav to go crazy looking for a qb, we can fill draft and FA positions elsewhere. We arent going to go 12-4 this year...now is the time to roll the dice...not hand the ball to Gus and say, win more than 6 so our fans will be happy.

Sounds like gus too....

Its only fair that Saban runs this team and goes with whom he thinks gives us the best opportunity to win.

Sorry, I just had to take a stab at the not fair crowd.

It is football, not T-Ball. You do not have to play everybody. Only the best. It is fair. Work harder, I heard no report of how AJ worked his but off to show he is the guy. Manning knows he is the guy and he works w/ the wrs' and others after practice, before, in the offseason, and when ever he has time. He watches game films constantly. His coaches tell him to take a break from it. That is wanting to be great. That is earning your $$$$$$

Is it fair that Saban is stuck w/ this Wannified team. NO! But he took it. So it is fair. I it fair to say he has to try to play a guy Wanny/RS overpaid for. No, not if he does not believe he is the best option.

I really do like Feeley, I thought he showed heart last year, I just get annoyed by guys that are biased and play the unfair card.

These type of people .....................
