Only fair to give AJ the start

Compared to Feeley who:

Started in college, until he was injured and was unable to take the job back from Joey Harrington, an absolute atrocity at QB. Backup.
Got drafted, was 3rd on the depth chart after Detmer, an even bigger atrocity at QB. Backup.
Then he came here, and was unable to beat Fiedler, a misplacec career backup for the starting job. Backup.
Gus comes in, and after a few weeks becomes the starter. Backup.

wow, guy.... were you wearing rose-colored glasses, or what?... McMike was awful, but 2 of his "drops" were horrible, off-target throws by Rotte... the CC sideline pass where he "couldn't get the second foot in" was atrocious... Ummm... CC is a fine player, but blaming him for that awful pass out of bounds is ludicrous... He missed a wide-open Booker HORRIBLY at least twice...

Gus was certainly to blame for the blitz fumble... I mean, take the sack if it's a jailbreak, no?... Beyond that, he couldn't get out of his own way all night...

This isn't little league, there is no guarantee of playing time, there is no such thing as "fairness" in the decisions a coach has to make.

If coach Saban has decided Frerotte is his starter then its only fair to let him continue to get comfortable with the first team.

He is a traveling backup qb. I myself am on the fence on the whole who to start situation, (I was for AJ at first) but you Gus lovers amaze me. How has he proven he is so much better than feeley? He hasn't. Even " knowing the system" hasn't showed anything. If the 2 qb's are even, you have to give AJ the nod. Enough of the he sucks, we wasted a pick, he is a baby BS. It's old. Gus should of won the job hands down by now if Feeley sucks so badly. Esp the way some of you talk about him.

Just out of curiosity....How many teams declared Gus starter and how many did the orig QB go down and he took over? Not trying to be a wise***....just curious

This isn't about what you or I think, its about what Saban and the coaches think.

I am no Gus or AJ lover, I love the Miami Dolphins and if Saban feels one or the other should be the starter thats who I'll support for now.

and im not doubting anything about saban at all, if he goes with gus i go with gus, if he goes with sage i go with sage... i just find the unfair bias people put towards players at times funny and i feel the need to defend that player...

and i also have my opinion on the matter... and that is if gus and AJ are about even in what they will do to help the dolphins this season, you start the young guy because he can still improve, plain and simple... im not saying start AJ forget gus, if gus does well and can get his head on straight and throw some accurate balls im all for him playing for us, i think our defense will be real well and with some QB and oline consistancy i think we ca nbe a good team..

but if in the grand scheme of team success, gus will do no more than AJ, then AJ should get the nod... the end

Dude, you're wasting your breath in these debates with the Gusketeers no matter how well you present your arguments for Feeley!! They're almost devoid of any rational thinking!!

On a different note... I see you're in Hoboken. I just moved to Jersey City a few months ago. Know any good bars in Hobo with a strong 'Phin fan base? The Black Bear any good?
