Opinions on Lazor?

I like Lazor now more than I ever did. When things go bad and he stands up and takes the heat at a presser like he did, it is easy to see his leadership qualities. He is easily the best leader on the coaching staff. I really can't imagine how anyone would have anything bad to say about him at this point, even some of the bi-polar posters we have here at Finheaven.

As most have already said our problems are mostly execution and should get better week to week. Our run game forces the defense to cover the whole field and gives the runners lanes vs both defenses we faced so far. Our pass plays always have players open it seems, we just can't get the ball to them well enough, but hopefully that will get better.

My biggest fear with Lazor is that he is too good and won't be here long. If he has as much success as I expect he will be getting sniffs at HC next offseason and will be gone for sure by 2016. His leadership skills are off the chart. Hopefully some of that will rub off on Philbin, because he certainly has NONE.

What do you base that on?

Pure speculation. Hence, "My guess."

But I can't imagine otherwise. 40% would be my absolute ceiling based off past experiences of offensive installations this early in a season and I can't even really see that much, especially with the restrictions of training camp hours these days.

Lazor is fine. His offense is somewhat limited in that he's still dealing w. non-explosive holdovers from the Ireland regime at key positions -- and a huge hole in the middle of the OL. Again, lingering devastation from Ireland/Philbin's misguided last two years. Once Lazor has players that fit his scheme at WR, TE and RB, and an OL that holds up in interior as well as ends, it's gonna be the best offense in Miami in a long time.
