Im not sure Palmer at this point is better. Kolb may be better but thats all about speculating on what might be. I do know at this point Orton is way better than Chad Henne or Matt Moore and we have no young qb to develop outside of an udfa and no guaarntee we will get one next year.

YOU DONT KNOW FOOTBALL IF YOU DONT KNOW THAT PALMER ISNT BETTER THAN ORTON >? OMG!! its very obvouis palmer has had better years than orton you can say what you want look up stats or what ever but palmer if we had him we would be in contention right now we are set at every other poss ol dl wr and rb maybe a lil depth at ol but we are ready to make a run and as far as i know palmer hasnt filed his retirment papers yet we may not get him but we should have made a run at hasselback or one of the other qbs before they was all sent out to diff teams while we sit and twiddle our thumbs i cant wait till there all frickin gone and we get a new GM and coach in here because its obvious what we have dosent have a clue at what there doing
 
All this im afraid is for none. Palmer isnt gonna get traded Mike Brown sticks to his guns. And We arent trading a 2nd round pick for Kyle Orton
 
Found this while reading the nfl app for my ipad:
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Friday that any deal for Orton "is dead."

theres noway i would trade a 2nd for orton either a 3rd and maybe a player maybe somebody thats going to be a bk up and bk to mr brown if he is so sticking to his guns and says that palmer signed a contract and he needs to forfill it then why did he trade ocho to NE for a 5th round pick with a year left on his contract ? imho ireland or sprano needs to get in mr browns ear and convince him to trade palmer to us for a 2nd and a player hell if he let ocho go for a 5th he shouldnt turn down a 2nd and a player for palmer that isnt coming bk to them

Palmer was terrible last year . I believe he had 5 pick-6's.

yeah that was said a few days ago when we kept going bk and forth

yeah i know but one year and i think if not badly mistaken they had 2-3 ol out and he didnt have time to throw he was getting eat alive

Holy crap...that's a lot to say without using a single period!
 
I was able to speak with Kyle Orton tonight -- well, not exactly. Through perseverance I was able to arrange a phone conversation with his agent. He was extremely informative in the process, and all that I can say is that the trade discussions are far from over.

I will discuss my findings further in Sunday night's chat sessions.

Lockz,

I have to say that next year offers a few more options than have been available this year via the draft. It looks to be a pretty deep QB class. I would love for them to enhance the position this year but not at the expense of throwing a lot of money at a guy who probably is not the long term answer anyway....
