OTA #1 Updates

nate garner getting backup left tackle reps...egads...good thing it's the first day of otas...

should have signed mckinnie as a cheap backup... Garner is horrific at LT

People get upset about the way Omar reports because as fans we (now and always) look for the potential in our team to be great - that's the fun part of being a fan. And Omar pisses all over it. So be it.

So Jordan is now the same size as Jadeveon Clowney, both now 6'6 and 265. One thing people can't question is Jordan's willingness to work.

You are assuming that McKinnie would be cheap and that he wants to be a backup.

he will cost a minimum salary and he has already said he would play as a backup or RT this season.

He was 248 at the Combine...17 lbs in a year is good growth...

If he can set the edge and and add to his pass rushing repertoire he going to make plays....

I remember him saying he is willing to play RT but I don't recall him saying he would play as a backup. Can you find the quote of him saying that?

was ages ago find it yourself if you are so interested. You see a rush for Mr. Mckninnie by any chance? You think his play for us last year was actually good enough to be a starter? He may marginally be good enough to be an ok backup. Exactly what teams have offered him a starting job or shown the slightest interest?

Last year there were times McKinnie made me miss Marc Columbo. I would be more open to resigning Clabo than McKinnie. If Jason Fox stays healthy I'm ok with the three tackles being James, Albert and Fox.

it's year 3 tannehill needs to take the next step...especially if the pass protection gets shored up...no excuses...it's time to pay the piper

so when Albert misses his usual 4 games who are you playing at lt? the rookie rt? or the crap always injured rt? Odd strategy

That would barely cover his strip club bills.

Bryant McKinnie pays $150K in unpaid lap dances

According to Black Sports Online, free agent offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie has reached a settlementt with a stripper for unpaid lap dances after being sued for $375,000. The settlement was for $150,000. Below is the details per Re-Tox.com. Turns out Bryant McKinnie‘s infamous $375,000 strip club bill wasn’t as “bogus” as he said it was; the 350-pound offensive tackle..

Time to move on

james might be able to play the swing tackle...he's got left tackle like lateral quickness and feet in short areas...he just looks lumbering the further down the field he goes...but in short areas like a 10 foot tackle box he's got high end talent

i still though wouldn't bet on jason fox staying healthy...you put that on your 53 you better have kept something else that can play right tackle for the inevitable...that's why i think provided we have another option we'd be better off not keeping fox at all...and also why i'd be cross training me some billy turner
