Unvarnished facts on Philbin:
- appointed Incognito as a leader
The players voted Incognito to the leadership council. Just as they did with Wake and Tannehill.

4-3 against playoff teams in 2013 (4-1 vs. AFC playoff teams) :kick:
Carroll lost the last two games of the season with the playoffs on the line vs two bad division opponents, one QBed by Thad freaking Lewis?? While finding a way to score a whopping 7 pts in 8 quarters?? Where was I when this happened? You see? You were doing well but you guys can't help but to embellish. Show me evidence Philbin had the power to force Ireland to do anything.
And as for the other points none of them are evidence Philbin is mediocre at best, they can all be countered by several examples of coaches overcoming similar deficiencies to go on to win Superbowls, and you don't have to look any further than the latest SB winning head coach to see one example.
Unvarnished facts on Philbin:
- 15-17 overall win loss record
- 4-8 vs the division
- Sparano had higher scoring offenses than Philbin has at any point during his tenure
- experienced several mid game collapses where the team lost huge leads to lose the game
- 0-2 vs Thad Lewis-led teams
- appointed Incognito as a leader
- didn't follow up with a mentally unstable starter which ultimately ended in scandal
- collapsed in final 2 games with playoffs on the line against non-playoff teams and division foes
- forced the trade of several productive players due to personality conflicts
I am trying to look for positive facts/statistics, but I am having trouble finding any. One positive I can recall that he did a decent job of recovering from the scandal after the TB loss, but that was all wasted in last two games.
Can anyone post the team's win/loss record against playoff teams over the past 2 seasons?

4-4. Split with Patriots. Not exactly inspiring stuff. One could make a case for the record against AFC playoff teams, unfortunately the AFC was remarkably weak this past year. Still, I will give it to him.
How about 2012?

2-5 in 2012 year and 4-3 last year. 6-8 overall against playoff teams.
Only 9-9 against non-playoff teams. That needs to improve. Cant lose to Buffalo twice.
who's the 4th loss? New England, New Orleans, Carolina and?
2012 was 1-5 i believe. could be wrong

believe 2 wins in 2012 Bengals and Seattle..but rest is ugly.
Seattle wasn't a playoff team in 2012. won vs. Cincinnati, lost vs. Houston, New England (twice), Indianapolis and San Francisco
And Philbin allowed it even knowing this "leader" stuck a golf club up a female volunteers vagina... And was apparently oblivious to the fact he was holding player meetings at strip clubs.

yes they were. They beat RG3 and the Redskins and then lost in second round.
I am open to hearing a counterpoint.
