Our Defense will look solid

Although I agree that as the season wears on we will become a good defense, barring injuries, I would be very surprised if we start off dominant. I think we are going to go through a learning curve with the defense one that will be marked by alot of blown assignments and players out of position. As the season progresses though and we become familiar with Saban's schemes look for a return to dominance

I think we will be more then solid on defense...I think we could be dominant.

A lot of "ifs" with that prediction though.

We have to stay healthy...especially at tackle. If Traylor or Holliday get hurt we have issues.

Reggie Howard has to continue to play well. If he can hold his own our secondary will be better then anyone thought it would.

We need agreat pass rush. I think we'll get it. Carter and Taylor both demand double teams and that opens up teams for blitzing...which I think we will do a lot of.

We also need our offense to control the ball. With our Q.B. situation we will need to run the ball a lot and spin the clock. I know this is the "same old same old" on offense but it is facts.

If we have to throw the ball a lot and our defense spends too much time on the field our lack of depth at tackle will eventually catch up to us and we'll be done for.

Your right. Carter and Taylor both command double teams and if Vonnie can recapture some form from a few years ago and Keith just be a big run stuffer then that will leave the QB open to a great, very fast LB in Crowder who knows how to make plays and to get to the ball. Crowder is like Eddie Moore with a little more speed and a lot bigger :)
