our WR IN 05 ?

Has Welker ever played a down as a WR?? If he can make the same kind of moves as a WR that he does as a returner i could def. see him as the #5 WR.

as much as i would love it to happen becuase i love the guy....hes not dante hall, he cant play higher on the roster like dante has filled in the 3rd spot in KC, but hey who knows it could happen and i would love to see it happen but most likely he won't even get a chance to do it this year with how many WRs we have

Salary aside, I actually didn't mind Derrious as our 3rd wr.....

niether do i, i just see david boston returning to an almost pro bowl state, darious wouldnt be bad at 3rd WR on most teams though

I see our WRs like this (in order) Chambers, Boston, Booker, Thompson, Gilmore, Davis and of course Welker

7 wrs is a lot to keep on the active roster 1 more likely 2 may have to be sent to the P. Squad.....
Davis will probably be dropped to the PS maybe Gilmore but if you think about it if we keep Gilmore and drop Davis then we are really only carring 5 real WRs, Welker is our KR so we can afford to have 6 or 7 WRs since he won't lineup at WR

5 is really all we need, with welker at 6, how many times do you go into a shotgun 5 wide? or even have 5 out there, and if one happens to get injured, you bring soemone up from practice squad

my logic is that you need 5 WR at least in a game, say we use 3 WR sets alot like I think we will and then 1 WR gets injured in the game then you still have 3 WRs and 1 to be extra safe. I guess all we need is 5 WRs

yeah, thats what i was thinking, thats why we have welk, as a KR or an emergency WR, he can do it all:tongue:

:shakeno:, he started for us and came through at really bad times, he is starting to prve himself and could be very useful next season when thompson and boston may not be here
I myself am not impressed by Gilmore, I don't think he has the hands to be that useful, but his speed is an asset in certain situations. He reminds me of McKnight if anything.

I think Welker and Davis can be more of a threat then you guys give them credit for. They both have great hands and are good athletes, guys like that can move the chains
