over or under 6 wins?

I am gonna say 7 wins and take the over....but it depends on the draft and other things.

haven't you heard? BM made us a terrible team

:bobdole: Who is saying that? I think you may have misunderstood the point. No one is implying Marshall made us a terrible team. He sure as hell didn't make us a whole lot better though. I don't think his loss is going to affect us too much one way or the other especially with the new offense Philbin is going to use.

You don't get better by losing a pro-bowl WR. That's idiotic to say. Yeah he brought a negative energy, yeah he dropped a lot of TD passes, but his production is NOT something that anyone on this roster can currently match. Therefore we are worse.

BM was the type of player that opposing defenses had to account for at all times, even with the drops, and he is maybe the best run-after-catch receiver in the biz. We are NOT better without him....
best run after the catch hmm.i dont think so.i waited and waited to see this from him but hardly ever seen his great run after the catch.

If you take all of our offensive skill-position guys and compare them to the rest of the league you will not find a SINGLE ONE who would be rated higher than 20th best at any position. Most would be well below 20.

That is not a 10-6 team. That is not an 8-8 team.

This team is '76 Buccaneers bad. There are expansion teams that have had better offensive talent than we do.

Matt Moore is the absolute epitome' of what an expansion team looks for in a QB. A guy who MIGHT help them avoid 0-16.

Over. They'll start off 0-7, and find a way to win enough meaningless games to get out of the Barkley sweepstakes.

he was actually ranked 47th in YAC last year, 2 slots below Reggie Bush

Maybe you should read who I commented on before a facepalm....he said a td dropping WR that made us worse. That is implying that we were worse with BM right????

I can't wait for this offense that doesn't need a solid #1 wr to come into play...even though Philbin has always had a solid #1 WR with his offense, as well as better WRs with their #2, #3, TE, QB.....

Not to mention the proto-typical WCO offense, run by a guy named Bill Walsh, which not only boasted of the greatest WR ever, but even their #2 guy was miles ahead of any receiver on this roster. But hey, it takes a lot of rationalization to keep those aqua-colored glasses from falling off; this is just par for the course.

Miami, as currently structured, will win 6-8 games. It's a sign of horrible roster management when you need the draft to make a complete team worthy of taking the field.

The draft should simply shore up your roster, not fill in missing pieces. The problem then compounds itself: you draft poorly because you can't simply go down your board and take the BPA; you're forced to narrow in on a couple positions.

The phins are just in a depressing position this draft because the roster is so lacking and incomplete.

ya but when was the last time we had a complete team.a team that we could draft bpa and not needs.the last few drafts we had voids all over the roster and we did not go bpa.safe pick in the first then needs.its a nightmare waiting to happen all over again.
one thing that may be on our side this year is a new coach.perhaps next year will bring us a new gm if ireland blows this draft.he sure did blow this fa.

you think ross told ireland he sucks in FA and he stoped him this year?

almost every year we were players in FA we brought in some players no matter if it was a good signing or bad.a few that come to mind are smiley that wr wilford(spll).this year was not the same we brought in second teir guys back up players .even last year we traded for bush .
i think ross had enough of ireland giving out his millions in signing money and stoped him cold in his tracks this year what do you think?

Always? Jennings, Nelson, Driver. Those guys are not your typical number one star receivers, but Philbin knew how to utilize them in that system. Again, I'm not saying we have the greatest receiver corps as is, but with this draft being deep at WR, Philbin could land us a couple good receivers that could make an immediate impact in the WCO. Don't think with Marshall being traded that we're going to stand pat with this group. And no, Marshall didn't help us win games. In fact he cost us more games with his critical drops if anything else.
