Interesting....

With a month left in the regular season, the Eagles are proud owners of the 24th -best offense in the league and the 21st-best defense in the league. As one of only six NFL teams ranked in the 20s on both sides of the ball, they're right up there with powerhouses like the Chargers, Cardinals, Redskins, Falcons and the Texans. Combined record 16-44.

Their starting wide receivers have gone 28 consecutive games without a 100-yard performance. They haven't had anybody with more than 40 receiving yards during three of the games during their current seven-game winning streak

One of their starting wide outs has gone 28 straight games without more than 80 yards. Their other starting receiver has gone 16 straight games without more than 60 yards.

Their three-time Pro Bowl tight end has 12 catches in his last 10 games and has gone 19 straight games and more than a year without a touchdown

Their three-time 1,000-yard rusher doesn't have more than 10 carries in a game.

Their starting defensive ends have 3-1/2 sacks. Combined.

Their starting secondary has five interceptions. Combined.

Their defense has allowed four consecutive 100-yard backs, allowing two of them to set career highs of close to 200 yards.

Their prized rookie third-round pick has one reception and two receiving yards and is playing behind an undrafted rookie free agent.

The defensive end they took with the 15th pick in the draft has no sacks since coming back from an injury.

They have nobody with either 500 rushing or receiving yards.
They're 14th in the league in turnover ratio.

They're 28th in the NFL in yards allowed on first down.

Their quarterback, on one of the hottest stretches of his career, is now all the way up to 21st place among all NFL quarterbacks in passer rating.

Their top receiver ranks 57th in the NFL in catches and 58th in yards.

The Redskins have a higher-ranked offense. The Lions have a higher-ranked defense. The Cards have a higher-ranked pass offense. The Browns have a higher-ranked rush defense. The Jaguars have a higher-ranked pass defense.

Comparing yearly numbers would be a serious mistake, as season change during there course of play. A more realistic look would be the current trends say 4/6 games.

What counts most points-->Scoring

Scoring "O"
Eagles #12
Phins # 20

Scoring "D"
Eagles #5
Phins #3

Re: Re: Over Rated Eagles?

Should be fun to watch the Eagles play a real team.

8 game winning streak:

@Giants
vs Jets
@Falcons
@GB - Impressive
vs Giants
vs Saints
@ Panthers
vs Cowboys

Miami's past 8 games..

L vs NE
W @ Chargers
L vs Colts
L @ Tenn
W vs Ravens
W vs Redskins
W @ Cowboys
L @ Pats

Not making excuses, but damn... I wish we had the Eagles schedule, lol

Blah blah blah blah. The team struggled at first its well known. We had more injuries then just about anyone(maybe not the pats). We lost 3 all-pro backs for some time. This team has passion and heart. Thats hard to beat and their record shows. Post the stats of our offense/defense in the 8 game winning streak. I'm sure we would be up there with the big dogs.

"their quarterback, on one of the hottest stretches of his career, is now all the way up to 21st place among all NFL quarterbacks in passer rating."

Player of the month (nov) my friend. We also had our kicker as special teamer of the month and in october we had our middle LB as defensive player of the month.

Our team shows its best when we need it. When the game is on the line someone always seems to step up and make a play. Thats all heart, not stats..

You can only play what is in front of you. Do the teams win or not. Does the win over the Ravens look any less impressive to Phins fans because of their/Ravens record

I wonder why?

Trying to keep up to 3 threads on 2 MB gets taxing and hard to run everyones requsts

The total records are irrelevant to me as I have explained here at least 50 times that I believe teams morph (change) during the course of a year.

Why ?? injury/getting a player back -- schedule -- Ect.

Don't forget heart and experience. We have been here before fighting for playoff HFA.

We have the better coached team as well.
