panther win would be big tonite

Panthers have the tools to win tonight. Their DBs are a little suspect though so hope their hogs in the front can get to Brady.

Shrugs....

I dont know why anyone is saying we have Zero chance at the division. Would anyone be shocked if the Pats lost to Both Carolina and Denver? I wouldnt be.

Yeh yeh.. I know we are an awful team and blah blah..what ever. But...its not like the Pats have a cake walk there.

Exactly. It's not that crazy to think that 1 week from today the pats are 7-4 and we're 6-5. So go panthers!

Regardless of who wins we need these teams to bludgeon the crap out of each other

You're reaching. We have zero chance at the division. We would have to win out and really pray. All hope was lost when we lost to buffalo and Tampa, not to mention we should've beat Baltimore and New England.

Miami is right now 3 games behind the Patriots....

The Pats (That are nowhere close to the team of years past), will be playing a very hot Panther team tonight, will eventually be playing a very tough Broncos team, and then eventually be playing the Dolphins in Miami.

Are the Odds brutally tough Miami wins the East? yes, but zero chance? No, I don't think so.

I act actually think a Pats win would benefit us. Lets face it we're not catching up to the Pats and a Carolija loss would deflate them in my opinion since they're riding on a win streak

What if the game tonight is a war, and it take a lot out of the Panthers, making the game in Miami far more winnable for the Dolphins.

this thought has krept into my mind.

The most important reason is that the Pats losing makes me happy.

I don't get happy very often.

Not saying that this is going to happen or that there is more than a slim chance of this happening. Still if the Panthers win tonight and the Dolphins win out then the Dolphins would more than likely win the division. The Patriots would be 7-3 with the Broncos on deck. Then if the Dolphins win out that would mean that they would be handing the Patriots another loss. The Patriots have a tough schedule to end the season. So if losing to the Panthers and Dolphins gives them 4 losses their is a very good chance that they lose at least one more game.

For example if the Patriots lose to the Panthers, Broncos and Dolphins that would put them at 11-5 same as the Dolphins (if by some miracle they did win out). Giving the Dolphins and Patriots identical division records moving to the next tie breaker which would be conference record. Which is where the Dolphins would have the advantage.

Not that I have any confidence in the Dolphins winning out , just saying if that were to happen then the Dolphins would most likely win the division. Either way I do agree with the OP's view that a Panthers win tonight would only help the Dolphins.

Pats by 10+ tonight, Carolina gets reality slap. Belechick will confuse Newton with 2 weeks to prepare. Book it!

My prediction Panthers 27 Patriots 13.
Panthers Defense exposes the Patriots offensive line getting constant pressure on Brady.
The Panthers will run the ball for close to 200 yards on a depleted Patriots front line. Newton will also have a couple big runs, one being for a TD. Greg Olsen will have a huge night overshadowing Gronk on the other side, who will have a pedestrian night with Brady seeing constant pressure.

for 2 reasons

1 - the obvious reason it keeps our slim hopes of winning the division alive

2 - we play the panthers next week. we dont want to play them coming off a loss, theyll be more hungry. if they beat the pats theyll be riding sky high and come into our place feeling overconfident and ****y, perfect scenario for them to lay an egg. similar to cincinnati a couple weeks ago, they came in winning 4 in a row or whatever and we were struggling and they played a bad game.
I don't know if we can win the division or not, but I DO agree with #2.

Their front seven is going to be brutal to deal with. I think their secondary is weak, but it does not matter if they are wrecking the pass pro.

The distractions from the NFL investigation team will be enough to **** up Miami.
