Part one Camp Report for this evenings session

Myself, I've been really hoping that Feeley becomes the man. He has the most upside between the two. But on Tuesday Night he went a little backwards. No worries though, because if he shows improvement the next practice I attend, I'll be the first one to say it.
I've never implied differently Oz.....you're the best there is buddy. :)

I actually fall on the Pro-Feeley side of all this. I do nto understand the premature opinion on AJ. We have played two games and frankly I did not see the advantage fo either. AJ looked slightly better against Chicago, Ferotte looked slightly better against Jax. Gus did not look so decisively better that everyone should start attacking Feeley.

I have no problem with AJ's attitude. The guy is competing for a job and a bunch of backup stiffs are getting him killed and diminshing his chances. This is a career impact thing for him, it's not just a game. He is a competitior and frankly that's how I would like to our players play.

Until one of them shows a clear (key word) advantage I am withholding judgement on both.
Boy are you in the minority!! Most of the people here seemed to make up their minds on the QB competition before any of Ozzy's wonderful reports (thanks OZ). But I am with you in that Saban certainly sees more than any of us, and he better know more than any of us. I am confident he'll make the right decision at the right time. Either way I believe it will be the right decision and I'll support it.

The sad part about all this is that some people on here say you shouldn't believe your own eyes about Feeley and that you should just understand his "situation". (insert chosen excuse here)

When Feeley sits this year they will say all the excuses you can think of and some you have never heard of.

But they are right and anyone that dares not believe in their prodigy is: wrong, lacks understanding, common sense, intelligence, blind or is just a plain idiot.

Great players with talent and desire will overcome adversity not succumb to it.

The debate about Feeley has nothing to do with anything other than a desire to see the Dolphins rise from the ashes and that will take more than one season.

If our goal is to win as few games as possible this year so we can draft Leinert then by all means we should start Feeley and "let him develop" because he has: (insert favorite excuse here).

I am in no way an advocate of Gus either as he is only the better option right now NOT our future.

Enough already! I feel like i'm living Groundhog day(the movie). Dosen't this sound like last year all over again. When in fact NO ONE KNOW'S what is happening out there with either qb. NO ONE KNOW'S if the qb is not checking down, going with the play that is called, making a bad read, or a receiver is not running the correct route and so on. Let's let the coaching staff tell us who is number one, because only THEY KNOW what is really supposed to be going on. Who ever is under center come the start of the season is the guy we should be supporting. Yes, there will always be certain things one qb can do better than the other, that's life. Let's let camp play itself out and then we will see our starter. Hopefully that starter will lead us to victory, GO PHINS!

My whole point in this thread was to stop what i feel was an unfair rush to judgement in a situation that we know next to nothing about..Keeping with that line of reasoning...I feel that I would be remiss if I didn't also point out that the last sentence of this partial quote appears to be false. I had to go back and read again what was said but, I don't think he literally threw the ball at Gordon 4 times. That incident happened after one play according to what I read....

Now, I admit it's confusing but, the key is that he said there were 4 plays where "this kind of thing" happened.....not, "Feeley threw the ball at Gordon 4 times" I took it that there were 4 times where Feeley appeared to "turn his back, shaking his head like he was getting the short end of the stick".

Perhaps Ozzy can clarify this for us but, if I'm right....

It's little things like this that these board parrots read and two threads from now, somebody will say,

Anybody see what I'm fighting against here??

Ok after re-reading it I see what you are saying now. The way that I read it the 1st time it was like he was saying he threw that ball at Gordon like that 4 times. My bad. Hopefully they will give AJ at least 1 more chance to show what he has with the 1st team. I think he can show that he does have more that Gus. What sucks about preseason is you only get a series or two to show what you have. I just want to see what he is like with some time.

Yea, I do also see some of these people that post on this board that have no clue of what they are trying to say, they just like to repeat what other people have said. I like the title board parrots. :D

I got out to camp this evening and I absorbed quite a bit of info. I just got home so let me give a little teaser to get you people something decent to read.

How about some O line

I always like going to a practice after they've played a game or two.

From day one until tonight there is one thing that is like night and day. You can clearly see that the zone blocking scheme is taking shape. The movement backwards upon the snap was in unison tonight. Especially early on, but only with the first team. It's really nice to see a pocket last for more than 3 seconds....more to come in a little bit.....
Thanks for the update, my biggest concern has been the OL glad to hear that it is improving. I read in a Palm Beach Post story about Houck that the improvement in San Diego from his 1st year to the 2nd year was due to getting new lineman, If I recall correctly didn't the Dolphins sign two of the castoffs? No wonder Dave is gone.

Thanks, wow Roth's a****ing nutjob.........thats exactly what this team needs.
