its miniscule (protein needed to add mass).. I dont mean to get insulting but you read a lot of "muscle&fitness" dont you?
no that magazine isnt very good, none of those magazines are for that matter...when lifting your fibers expand...and for them to heal and grow, you have to eat...its just how it works...this is my major in college...i know a good amount on this topic

He's not going to come into camp at 195. Maybe 210 but not 195. I can't believe he wrote a whole article based on just that. He should know a thing or two about gaining weight. :chuckle:

How much did he weigh in '02? I would guess at least 225 and he's not putting on 20 good lbs in a month & 1/2 w/o steroids. he can gain weight bu don't forget he'll lose weight during the heat of TC. Ricky's weight is defintiely an issue, the whole Ricky drama is an issue. You guys would be better off if he just stayed away.

A year later and writers still have nothing else to write about but this whole "weed" deal with Ricky. I didn't even finish the article. Been there done that, a YEAR ago.

You don't think it's an issue they should deal w/? Ricky is trying to come back now and he did do something no other high profile player had done before and that was walk out on his team a week before camp. It's a big story w/ him coming back, if he just left and stayed away it wouldn't be an issue now.

He Contradict Himself

there is a funny contradiction in that article. the evidence he cites seems to suggest that you get better by being lighter, i.e.:

the average tonnage of the top two tailbacks on the 32 rosters was 219.9 pounds

The average weight of the 32 starting tailbacks in the NFL last season was 217.8 pounds

There have been five men in NFL history who have rushed for 2,000 yards in a year, and the average weight of the quintet in the season they notched that feat was 214.4 pounds

Over the last 10 seasons, the average weight of the league's rushing champion was 211.8 pounds

...besides all of that, the pot jokes were REALLY lame!

Does anybody else that he looks like don vito?...lmao

Seperated at birth??...lol

This whole thing about Ricky's weight is such a Non-Issue right now. Get back with me towards the end of training camp or a week or so into the season when we're closing in on it being time for him to return to the field!!!!

I would hate to get my fingers anywhere near the bowl when Pasquerelli and Fat Hank sit down to eat.

The average weight of the 32 starting tailbacks in the NFL last season was 217.8 pounds. Only half of the 32 starters dented the scales at less than 220 pounds.

That must mean that only half of the 32 starters weighed more than 220..

Gotta love making numbers support your argument.

I honestly don't expect Ricky to be coming in at camp at 195lbs. I don't expect him to be anywhere near that low come pre-season either. I think he can put on 20-25lbs of muscle without a problem. And might I add he won't need marijuana or the munchies to do so. Not sure what Pasquarelli was thinking writing that entire article about that.
