Pat White will break out vs. saints

Pat White - Bust, not Busting Out. I know it's early, but if he were 'that good,' with the amount of wildcat plays that we run, surely he would have featured in more than 1 play against the jets.

Pat White will be a pick that we will rue for years to come....

First of all, not a Pat White hater and nor do I think he was the steal of the draft. That aside, can we please stop talking about how we will regret that pick for years to come. It was a 2nd round pick. It was NOT a Top 10 pick.

The Pat White pick is being put down more than the Jamar Fletcher or Eddie Moore picks. These guys were 1st round busts.

We are 6 weeks into the season. Let's have a little patience here. Could we have had a player that is playing right now and excelling, potentially, but we could have also had Drew Brees on this squad for the past 6 years. Instead we took a Corner in a year when we already had Madison and Surtain.

Let's talk in a year or two about whether White was a bust, not 6 weeks into his rookie season.

Whats your idea of breaking out? Getting a completed pass? 2 attempted runs?

I think he will get a Touchdown, rushing or throwing. I will be the first to admit if I were wrong, but I think with the bye week to prepare him I think this week or the week we play the patriots, he will be unleashed. Even if he doesnt do anything this year, its too early to call him a bust, I think eventually he will be ready.

Yes we will see pat white again this game..expecting him to light it up? Like how? In order for Pat to light it up he has to see the field for more than 2 or 3 plays...You cant call someone a bust or even expect someone to light it up when only given 2 or 3 plays to execute something...Its not that automatic...Pat white is a change of pace switch up and I think is just something to get the defense to just over think or to mentally wear themselves down. This would be a great week though for him to throw a TD or break out a run though. The staff has intentionally been waiting for the right times to throw him in to get his feet wet. We will need everything to attack the saints..there d is definately not like their O.

I'm not sure he'll break out, but I'd like to see him get a few positive plays in against the Saints.

What I'm really curious about however is why it seems like the majority of people on this board hate Pat White, and seem to want him to fail so they will be vindicated in saying he was a poor pick.

That and why are those same people on thigpen's jock? There's a reason he was a 7th round pick out of college and the 3rd string emergency qb at KC. And for those who aren't that quick...it's because he isnt very good.

This needs to be merged with all the other "This is White's week" threads so we can have an official "Pat White breaks out this week" thread just like we have an "Official Davone Bess thread". If you ask me, I wouldn't be surprised to see White deactivated this week in favor of Thigpen who's a little more useful and actually has NFL experience. If that happens, you'll be sure to see this thread brought back.

Maybe the lack of seeing anything but a draw? People who think PW is gonna come in and 'light' the world on fire are the ones running around with grand delusions. Not sure where people get off thinking otherwise.

We held out the wild cat last year for a big game agaisnt the patriots. I think the dolphins have been purposfully holding back pat white to make teams think he was a bust and that we arent going to use him. With the bye I think they are going to unleash Pat White and the wild cat 2.0 vs. the saints. Its a pivotal game because we cant afford to fall to 2-4 and be potentionally 2 games behind the patriots. All im saying, is watch out for Pat White.

Thigpen is a much better option then White, passing anyway, or even recieving anyway.. I dont know who is a better runner, but im sure White has a much higher propensity to fumble being he like 50 pounds lighter

Our D needs the unleashing, our O can handle it self, I think we will save the WildPat for the Pats or Jets again. Nothing he can really do against NO, nor do we need him too.
