Patriots, Jets still better than us.

My bad just heard the news on NFLN. Jets foolish. Might not remain starter by the time we get them late in the season. They're still gonna manhandle and run all over us regardless of QB. It just might not be enough for them to win, as they are now just as one dimensional as us.

Your right we could never beat the jets or the pats.. :(

Every divisional game will be a battle but I'm still not sold on the Jest.

We can shut up the naysayers week 1 and I really hope we do. It would be HUGE to get a win over the Pats week 1 and that would send a message to the rest of the division (and the entire league)

Oh and lets not count out the Bills. Those bastards swept us last season. We have to beat them if we want to be in the playoffs.

The Jets suck. If that's your aspiration then you have issues.

And the Patriots play a bend but don't break defense, the same type we play, which you seem to have a problem with.

And the Patriots have an effective running game because their passing game is so lethal. Again, that is what we're attempting to become.

Barring any unexpected revelations in our dress rehearsal, these are better coached, more complete football teams as it stands. They have run games, defenses. Very strong up front on both sides. Ivory is a bull for the Jets and CJ2K is still a dynamic change of pace. Vick and Decker puts them over the hump. People think New England doesn't have weapons but they have 2 Wes Welkers, the leagues best TE, top 10 run game, and the leagues best kept secret weapon, Marcus Thigpen on crack- Shane Vereen. This isn't a doom and gloom post, and it isn't even that the Dolphins are bad. Objectively speaking, these teams are just BETTER. Know their schemes, execute them. The way they just line up and play hard nosed football make the Dolphins look weak and gimmicky in comparison. Dolphins will get physically dominated by both teams. Don't see dolphins playing well in the division, Bills will also be competitive. I think we go 4-2 at BEST in division play, 2-4 at worst, and wholeheartedly expect splitting a game with each team for 3-3. I respect the teams in our division and not really liking the way we match up right now. I'm just calling it how I see it. Discuss..

In brass tacks you post reads like this:
Hey there, I am Dolphin fan.. I swear (ehem) . Here's a list of all the (perceived) Good things about the Jets/Pats this year and none of the bad things. Oh and Here's all the perceived bad things about the Dolphins (Omit any good things about dolphins). Conclusion: Jets are going to be good dolphins bad.

The only truth to your post is that the Jets do have a chance to be better this year than they were last year. But so do the Dolphins. I think the whole AFCE will improve this year.

Why do you keep making a point of saying "we "our" and "us" a ton of times in each of your posts? That's not how normal (actual) Dolphins fans talk in these forums. For actual Dolphin fans the "we" "our" or "us" is rarely overused in all posts as Dolphin fandom is generally implied on this forum. You are using "our" or "us" in reference to being a dolphin fan yet you clearly love everything about the Jets and you think the Dolphins are going to stink this year in comparison to the Jets. I don't really know any dolphin fans that think like this (even doom and gloomers). Just looking at the way you form your posts has me thinking you are a Jets fan pretending to be a Dolphin fan by the way you lovingly describe the jets players and coaches while bashing the dolphins coaching and players. The other thing that makes your posts look fishy is that in the OP you listed off all the perceived good things about the Jets but failed to mention any of the bad things about the Jets (QB,DB depth,WR depth,Allowing 5 ypc tonight on first team D etc). You also did not list any of the dolphins strengths (Likely better QB play, better receivers, Good DL, good pass rush prospects, Likely improved Protection for Tanne etc)

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with Jets fans coming and spouting off on here every once and awhile. Keeps things interesting. But a Jets fan pretending to be a Dolphin fan and spouting off is just sad for you.

- On a side note (I watched the Jets Game and this is what I saw)
1)Geno did look pretty good tonight. I am sure jets fans will crown themselves Champs after tonights pre-season game prematurly.
2)The Jets Run defense was alowing 5-6 yards per run when most of the ones were in there in the early part of the game. That is not world beating defence.
3)They may have a pretty good run game this year
4)It looked to me that Geno did throw some balls that could have went the other way.
5)On Geno's TD drive the Jets got like 5 penalties called in their favor that kept getting them out of long situations and giving them tons of chances to score. Ryan Tannehill's scoring drives looked smooth as butter compared to Geno's tonight. (with less help from the refs)

Side note:
It is interesting to note that since Rex Ryan took over the jets. Every Dolphins Pats or BIlls fan and player that I listen to have refocused their hate squarely on the Jets. I think its how Rex Ryan refuses to give credit to other teams and always transfers blame when playing rivals that makes me hate the jets. Also the fact that the Jets players seem encouraged to brag and boast in emulation of their coach (even when they cant back it up). The Jets are basically the annoying loudmouth little brother of the NFL.

Barring any future post in this thread by you saying "lawlz just trolling", after studying your post, checking in my fridge for chocolate milk, and stopping off by the bathroom to make sure the seat was still up cause I'm a guy!!!!, I hate to be the one to tell you but you sir are just plain awful at using freedom of speech to get point across. Not only did you bash your own team(in hopes to somehow feel like a level headed fan) but you also tried to bash the fans that have their glasses half full. Could have said Pats and Jets will give us problems, but you felt like reaching deep down into your emotional pockets and yanking out Brady and Rex's used jockstraps and coaching headset. If you truly are that aware of the AFC East, take off the BB and Brady pjs, slip off the Rex Foot Fetish Slippers and don't discount the Bills(gave us the most trouble last season).

Danny you don't sound like a FH member - you don't even know who the MODS are...

Institigating TROLL -> Enjoy Buttfumble2

With all the nonsense that went on last year, the Dolphins were still 8-8 and missed the playoffs by 1 game. and beat the Jets 30-9 and beat New England. so how are they better than Miami? The Jets have no quarterback and New England has no speed on offense.

I don't see the jets better than us. People say Miami's success hinders directly on Ryan's play. Well, if that's true then the jets will have it bad with Geno at the helm.

We split with the pats last year. That makes us even, not better. I see several smelling Brady blood from our defense. Wake, Vernon, and Shelby. Quickness to Brady is what will win us this game in week one. Even if we win, the media will downplay it hard. It will take 2 wins this year against them to get some legitimacy from outisde of FinNation.

Who the hell are YOU? This is the internet. Don't have to know me to value my opinion. You don't run this forum. Sorry I don't see things thru aqua orange glasses like you do.

much lulz at the guy with about 30 posts before starting this thread calling out the Super Mod with over 20,000. Were we not better than the jets when we annihilated them in their home week 13?

I think you have good points here, as I see our OL as scary..Anyone who watched our OL against the Buc's can't help but be concerned. I've watched the pats and jets games and they are more physical. I don't know if Lazar's O can cover for our OL problems, i do know they can't go the whole season playing like the Tampa game. Hopefully they improve as the season goes. Right now our OL puts us behind the pats and jets. I think the rest of our team match up pretty well with those two.

We're soft as baby sh*t right now. Hope to see some physically in tomorrow's dress rehearsal.

Soft? I don't think so. Dolphins will be top 5 or better sacking the QB.
Tanne sacked the most in dolphins history stood up and kept throwing under pressure.
So far The offensive line showed it can protect Tannehil much better than last year.
If the dolphins can plug in a guard better than Dallas Thomas
You can expect Tannehill to pick most teams apart with tough receivers like Landry, Gibson, Matthews

While I do share some of your skepticism of "our" Dolphins. I glean from your post that Miami willl get dominated by the Pats, Jets and Bills. Yet you state that we will go either 4-2, 3-3 or 2-4. In my opinion none of your "scenarios" show "domination" by the opponents. Maybe you should have said we'd go 2-4, 1-3 or 0-4.....that seems more like "domination".
