Patriots, Jets still better than us.

As for NE…they are beatable…but they are still NE and Brady is still Brady. Im hoping we can catch them with their pants down in game 1. We will have to execute to perfection

Any team is beatable. The Pats have won 10 season openers in a row. That can't last forever.

Last opener the Pats lost is when they got smoked 33-0 by the Bills. Then they went on to win the Super Bowl.

watching the patriots last night, I noticed without a TE, they liked to run screens and wheel routes with the RB's. Leaving the LBer's to cover the RB. this might be a huge problem for Miami.

Decker performed pretty well even before Peyton got there, so he's not exactly chopped liver. However, it was Peyton who made him (and his annoying wife), like Wallace unjustifiably set for life. He's a weapon but I'd still take the potential of what Wallace could do as well as how he takes the top off the D, Hartline, Landry's upside and possibly even Matthews over him. Beyond Decker, there's the second round bust, Hill, who luckily for us could have been Russell Wilson if Tannenbaum didn't stonewall Terry Bradway's urging and stand pat with buttfumble.. and Amaro who could turn out to be as consistently good as he was in college or another Egnew. Geno's legs concern me more than his arms. Their running game has the potential to be formidable if the OL holds up, but it's their strong suit fersure. Their safeties are pretty good, or at least have the potential to be, but their corners even with Milliner are their achilles heel. As far as the coaching, I'm not overly impressed by a HC who had one legit winning season without opponent kneel downs out of 5 and hired Sparano as his "mini me." The difference is Morningwood.. crappy HC but a good OC . If not for Marty, we'd probably have more concern going up against Rex's successor, likely another former Seahawks coordinator. So while the verdict on Lazor is out, I'm not buying a jest coaching advantage. So yeah, we can't again take them for granted but by the same token, when it comes to comparing the two teams, not so fast conceding them anything!:

can't agree on the jets until they get a good QB

+1. Tannehill > Geno and Ron Mexico

Yea, Jets looked fantastic tonight. I think they have the division locked up. Pats and Jests 1 and 1a.

Lol, JK...we were better than Jets and Pats last year we just shot ourselves in the foot. Weird post.

NFL network was spinning how well the jest looked last night. When you lose by double digits and give up 5 TD's; you aren't that good.

Jets pass defense is horrid. They could not stop Dalton. Unless they fix that weakness they're in for a long season.

Lol the jets. Stopped reading when you mentioned the Jets being better then us. Our d isnt physical? Our pass rush is borderline elite our secondary is dam good. Our passing game looks pretty damn good. This is a finesse league now. You can't manhandle WRs anymore. And try to manhandle Landry and see how that works out

The Jets issue has been the same since Rex Ryan took over -- they can't find a good quarterback to compliment the defense. Maybe Smith turns out to be the answer, but that's a big if based on his rookie play.

I see the difference between Miami and the Jets being Ryan Tannehill. I fully expect that he will take his game to another level. He has the skills to be among the elite quarterbacks in the league, but can only get there if he has time to throw the football. I think that will become more of a reality this season.

This is not meant to bash the Jets. New York has one of the better defensive lines in football and should have a competitive running game. That's a pretty good formula. In the playoffs, though, you need a quarterback who can make game changing plays. That's what puts Denver and New England above the rest for now.

As to New England, they have to once again be considered the team to beat in the AFC East. The Patriots have revamped a suspect secondary by bringing in Revis. They can run the ball and have a precision passing game with Brady.

I know it's not what you all wanna hear but it's the truth. And it's probably why a lot of you guys hate Omar Kelly. If it isn't Dolphin-based homerism half you guys don't wanna hear. Truth hurts fellas. Buckle your chin straps when NE and NY come to town. They will physically manhandle us. We're soft as baby sh*t right now. Hope to see some physically in tomorrow's dress rehearsal.

Try not to confuse your opinion with truth. You'll last longer on this site if you can differentiate the two.

Patriots are still the better team. I don't think anyone's going to argue that.

I'm not 100% sold on the Jets from their dress rehearsal for the simple fact that I think the Giants might just be the worst team in the NFL. Well okay, they're better than the Raiders and maybe the Gordonless Browns, and possibly the Cowboys. We'll see.

Based on the video game numbers a lot of QBs have been putting up in preseason, I'm going to be very disappointed if our QBs don't come out tonight and light up that incredibly bad Cowboys D.

That's what I was noticing. It seems like pretty every QB has looked good in preseason so far.

QBs who have looked bad:

Cam Newton (I don't believe he'll be bad this season, not putting any stock in that)
Brian Hoyer (pretty bad)
Johnny Football (awful)
Matt Schaub (he's done, his arm has nothing left)
Eli Manning (Coughlin's last year IMO, that team looks lousy)

And... maybe some third string scrubs? Even Sanchez looked good.

You know, we totaled 42 sacks on defense last season. That's tied for 11th in the league with the colts. The pats had 48 for 5th. So again, let's not get all nuts about our "elite" defense. They're good, not elite. (yet) I mean here is an example of something a lot of you would call the hallmark of our defense, this elite pass rush and the Pats had more sacks than we did. I love this team, always will, root for them every week, but people need to get some ****ing reality.

If Tannehill becomes an true top 10 QB and if the defense can truly be a top 5 unit, then we can get into the conversation about winning divisions and making some run in the playoffs.

I don't completely agree with the post but I will say Miami is soft. they lack a good running game and cannot stop the run. I do believe however they have the second best quarterback in the division though.

You make it sound like those teams don't have holes... What about the Jets secondary, QB, TE. They are not netter than us. The Bills have no QB, and LBs aren't great after Alonso went down.

Our QB isn't scorching the earth, but I guarantee my life if you asked Rex Ryan and Doug Marrone what QB they could have from our division excluding Brady, Tannehill would be selected 100 out of 100 times.

Foles looks bad to me at least. More INTs this preseason then all of last season
