Pats claim safety Don Jones

It's really funny to me: Some of the same people crying about Belicheat picking up Don Jones are the same ones who crap on Jones saying he can't play worth a darn.

If Jones really is such a poor player and as dumb as people make him out to be, they should be glad that Belicheat picked him up.

Their tears show the reality though: Jones has talent. Rough but talented. One of our best special teamers and with development a good safety.

Whiners need a scapegoat man.

He's a good ST player. Changed the momentum in the Atlanta game last year w that big stick and FF on the return man.

Agree. I've never understood people whining about how the Pats do this. It's not against the rules. We can choose to churn the bottom of our roster with guys that don't make the Pats roster. We just choose not to. Probably should be.

He also played on defense and against the Dolphins offense.

Pats have more than enough info on the offense since they practiced with the Eagles for a week and then played them in the preseason.

Belichick could possibly pick up some play calls on defense or hand signals but I'm sure the Dolphins have changed those for the opener.

Blame goes to Joe and Hickey. The pats release people, if we are not doing the same thing they are, then we are behind. It's legal, maybe not ethical to take a released player and pay for him for info.
Hmm, let's see the pats kick our butts constantly. Maybe we should do the same to them.

Gotta quit making excuses for the Pat's success against us and just find a way to beat them.

So the game Don Shula lost against the Raiders after one of his players found the game plan and Shula threw it away means Shula was a terrible coach? Two wrongs don't make a right. Every other NFL coach plays the game with integrity. Just cause one coach doesn't and he happens to be in our division doesn't mean we have to stoop to his level.

There is nothing he can gain from Don Jones that he doesn't already know. It comes down to execution, plain and simple. He's already got Coyle on film and his tendencies, the alignments he likes against different formations, etc. He's practiced and played the Eagles and he's good friends with Chip Kelly so the only thing he doesn't know is what kind of game Bill Lazor calls and truthfully no one knows and no one will know until Sunday. You can maybe go back to 2010 and look at Lazor at Virginia but he's got more of Chip Kelly's offense incorporated now where he had none at Virginia.

Don Jones was running with the 3rd/4th team defense...he was playing against Seth Lobato and Matt Moore. He rarely lined up against the starters and Tannehill and he was fighting for his roster spot. Anyone who thinks he really has intel to share is buying into the media hype a little too much.

Couple of problems with this..
No one is "crying." Do you cry when the pats always beat us? Wanna do something about it? Maybe we do the same LEGAL thing the pats do. You really think that's crying?
Secondly, who is craping on DJ? Is there a thread on that?
Thirdly, Who said DJ is dumb? You make the claim that "People" say that.
Maybe I'm just a more passionte fan, maybe not, but I want my team to do all the LEGAL things they can to beat the pats. Why don't you?

I don't really care. We can do the same thing if we wanted to. And, their rejects would probably be better than ours anyway, so ...

Did he not get the same playbook as the starters did?

I would bet Bellicheck does this every year regarding their first opponent (not bothering to look it up). Especially if there is a new coach involved. It won't make a difference if the Dolphins execute the game plan, but it does eliminate the surprise factor. Personally, I don't think it passes the smell test.
