We all know that official heights and weights are as advertised.

If you have better numbers, then please post them.

Keep in mind that most of the above players were also weighed at their NFL combines & pro days.

So if there's one player on that list with a suspect official NFL weight, it's Marcus Thigpen, who weighed 184 lbs at this pro day, and is now listed at 200 lbs.

Meanwhile, Marshawn Lynch (215 lbs) and Adrian Peterson (217 lbs) NFL combine weights match their current NFL official weights.

Patriots have signed Kelcy Quarles to practice squad, cut Allen Reisner from practice squad

So the pats waived the former viking they claimed days ago and reclaimed Quarles who they cut a few days ago. Download complete.

I've gotten a transcript of the proposed practice squad changes..

Belichick: 8 slots is not enough!! Its needs to be more!! MOAR!!!!!!!

Belichick: And we need a special exemption slot for [STRIKE]Miami Dolphin[/STRIKE] players that don't qualify for the regular practice squad slots...

cant do that. that would be inhibiting a players chance to work. your team cut him fair game

Also I dont think Fins can show much that BB hasn t seen already. remember he and Chip spend time together every off season, Conceptually he knows Chips system

He knows Chip's system but do you think Bill is going to do the exact same?

No but like everything else. Once you understand the concepts its pretty easy to figure out the rest. you guys make this out to be like rocket science. there is nothing out there that any of the coaches haven't seen before. that goes for all 32. it comes down to plain old simple execution

True. But at the same time there is a reason the Patriots aren't allowed to scout our practices. There is a reason a practice squad player isn't allowed to be poached from one team to another if they're within 6 days of playing each other. Clearly the NFL understands a team should be granted a right to some secrecy which is why those rules exist. The problem for the NFL is they need to balance a teams right to secrecy, a players right to play and a teams right to sign free agents. The rules obviously don't go far enough to protect a teams right to secrecy but in fairness the league probably hoped they wouldn't have to deal with asshats like Bill Belichick.

"Take a penny, leave a penny" is a great idea for 99% of the people 99% of the time, until some asshat decides to take advantage and the whole idea, with all of its brilliant simplicity, has to be scrapped for everybody.

IDK. if a coach is depending on Intel from a cut player then that person shouldnt be coaching. both teams will know what the other is doing by the end of the first quarter. the team that adjust and executes will win. its football its pretty simple

Belichick gets to adjust a lot sooner than others, thats the problem. If he would have had the blueprints to the Wildcat plan a week prior he likely wouldn't have been embarrassed to the extent that he was. And I don't recall him having any great adjustments a quarter into it on that day, does that mean he shouldn't be coaching?

I agree that simple execution is going to win out on most days but every once in a while that point or two advantage he gets from knowing the other teams playbook will be the difference between a win and a loss.

wildcat was different no one ever saw that in the nfl. it only worked that one time though. That was a gimmick one shot offense

Yes the concepts are the same but the playing calling, speed of the offensive plays , and the execution will be key. I think between TE's, RB, and WR we have more weapons than we have in the past. It will be a track meet along with not letting your defense substitute players as well. This will be crucial in the heat of Miami. Here is to a great game!
