The field hockey and men's soccer teams had perfect 6-0 records, and the booters also won their third Big Ten Tournament title by beating two-time defending national champion Indiana for the second time this fall. The football team climaxed the unprecedented fall performance by capturing its second Big Ten title with a 7-1 (10-1 overall) season. No other school has ever won more than three Big Ten championships in the fall season.
