and sorry for bashing Henne, when he comes out and plays hard and starts proving everyone wrong.Im not saying he is going to be the best in the league, but i got a good feeling.I admit im not the biggest fan of him and i was even drinking the Orton koolaid, but he will turn the corner this season. Go Dolphins!!!

You have a good feeling? Was it also a funny feeling?

I'm also in my yearly August optimism mode as well.

Your right, I would be surprised if Henne did anything. Obviously we all hope he does, that doesn't mean we're gonna put blind faith in him given his track record thus far. Not the smart ones anyway.

I was on the Henne-wagon last year and the year before that, he let me down both times.

Who are you really trying to convince? Us or yourself?

If we even have a +.500 record, then someone in our FO surely made a deal with the devil.

See, now these are the kind of posts that are just asinine and serve no purpose other than to be a malcontent. I have no problem with being upset at the stagnancy of this franchise, but at least be in the realm of reality about it. They went 7-9 last year and that was with the big collapse at the end of the season. They are a better team this year almost by default. The schedule is tough, but a .500 record or better is not the longshot a lot of you make it out to be.

The real issue is that even if the team does finish over .500, it still won't likely be enough to top the Pats and/or Jets. It will also in theory leave them picking in the middle of round 1 next year, out of reach of the top QB's. Ergo, people are fearing more of the same we've all been subjected to since 1993.

Chad needs another chance where he is not imprisoned by Dan Henning and a run first offense that was so effective that half of the O-Line has been replaced along with the entire backfield. I think Henne is still on a par with Sanchez but needs a better system and some new parts. Hopefully our offense will be modernized and Henne will be responsible to run it or fail. If he can learn to take care of the ball (enter Tiki?) and the defense can turn it over more, this team could surprise.

They say there is power in positive thinking. If you start the season not expecting too win you most likely won't. Go Dolphins!!!!!!!

I won't be sorry. If he proves me and every other half-intelligent poster on this board wrong, I'll be like, 'well, that's a relief.'

But . . . of course, he won't.

It would be nice if we got a loud "HEN-EEE" chant during the season opener. I think that kind of fan support could erase monday night's practice(cause he said it "hurt"). If he failed after that, get your life vests on, cause the ship is going down fast and only the defense can bail us out.

We may as well have a fitting image to go along with this thread:

Gooooooooo Chad!
(and take Tony with you)

It's actually a terrific opportunity to show all the doubters what he can do. We know our defense is going to be good, but if Henne can play well early in the season and eliminate the interceptions, he can become a real asset (and use the talent, eg Marshall, Bess, Bush... around him). If he cannot play well, the calls for his removal will become louder and more difficult to ignore.
Robot, the ball is at your feet, the path to prosperity or oblivion?
