Per Twitter Gronk Playing sunday

Lets have a moment of silence for our LB's and the frustration that they are sure to endure and cause us next Sunday...........................

Amen.

Love it.

Had gronk played week 15 last year and Brady had more to work with than just a bunch of slot wrs playing on the boundary etc and slug tight ends we wouldn't have had a shot in hell of beating them in that game...

Gronk being back opens up that play book something fierce...and wrights gonna do work also...

At the same time, the Fins DB's were dropping like flies which kind of made the situation even.

We'll see come Sunday. I would think even if he were still out we would be reading reports that he was going to play. Some coaches like to give the other team something extra to prepare for just to keep the opponent busy.

he's probably just saying that so he can travel with the team to miami, and go out to LIV sunday night

This matchup was the main reason the Jordan loss is such a big one to start the season. That being said Gronk is not the same player he was and never will be again. Can he still be effective, sure. But do I fear him like I once did, nope not in the least.

Shane Vereen is the guy I am losing sleep over. I could see a 2013Sproles esque performance from him on Sunday. Ugh I hate our lbs.

Awesome move Patriots, considering no matter how far Gronk is to being actually game ready, he is not as close as the Pats would like us to believe, so he is going to be more of a decoy then a difference maker. Let him try to make a play or two, risk him getting injured again for the season, and allow Miami to play the Pats again in NE without an actual healthy Gronk.

Dolphins are going to beat the Pats in hot Miami with or without an 80% Gronk, so risking him to getting injured again is a desperation move by the Pats...showing some concern amd some respect for Miami. Thanks Pats

That's not good...

I know Gronk is in shape, but hes not in football shape. That south Florida heat is gonna put a hurting on him also.

To be fair, that heat was making us look pathetic at times last year...

AP article:

Gronk promises he will play Sunday; Dolphins ready

Star tight end Rob Gronkowski stood in front of his Gillette Stadium locker Monday and announced he will be playing in the New England Patriots' opener at Miami this Sunday.

Meanwhile, the news hardly caught the Dolphins by surprise.

"I'm super excited," said Gronkowski, who didn't play in any of the four preseason games as he completed his recovery from December right knee surgery. "I won't have to see my teammates grind all week - (I'll) go back out there with them, get in the huddle, break the huddle with them.

"It's going to be an honor to be back out there with my teammates. Super pumped, super excited and just preparing for the game."

The pronouncement came as a bit of a surprise in a locker room not known for players "breaking news."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm just getting it out of the way there," Gronkowski said. "Every single day this week (he would have been asked about returning) - get it out of the way now."

"It just feels good in my mind to know that I'll be out there with my boys, working hard, grinding with them, being out there."

The Patriots are 6-0 all-time when Gronkowski plays against the Dolphins, but Miami has kept him in some check of late. Gronkowski's last two games against Miami resulted in a total of only four catches.

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said his team was "fully prepared" for a Gronkowski sighting.

"He's an excellent player," Philbin said Monday. "He's been a very very productive player throughout his career. We'll have a good plan in place, but he's certainly an important part of their offense, and a productive part of it. We'll be ready for him, for sure."

I love this thread too much doom and gloom around here sometimes. **** THAT WE CAN BEAT THESE MASSHOLES AND CURBSTOMP THEM!

I'd have all the confidence on the world if we were fully loaded with Jordan, Jones, and Pouncey. But 2 out of those 3 not playing are a big detractor with Gronk playing.
