Pete carmichael jr

Pete Carmichael does nothing for me.

But Jack Del Rio and Mike McCoy do? You have some crazy thoughts bro!

Denver has a terrible offense. They have only won games because they are so damn conservative and their defense has played well.

As for Del Rio as in another of your posts.....GOOD LORD!!! You can't be serious? This guy has done nothing and quit on his team, owner and city. I would take Sparano back over Del Rio! Atleast Tony didn't give up!

DEL RIO = The only Candidate that would literally finally make me question my fan hood. If Ross thought that that was the man for the job im pretty sure id have to take a break. I mean i would be completely right in thinking that anyone of us could run an NFL team better than Ross lol

He needs to bring Aaron Kromer with him to be OC and OL coach.

I would be curious to see if they try to retain Nolan if they do hire Carmichael.

everything that i hear from the saints organization and espn experts is that he is well respected throughout the league, especially by players.... if you get the respect from players, you will be able to gain control of the locker room

I'm not just talking about the locker room here. Being head coach means stamping your identity as well as your authority on the whole setup. It means pulling together a thousand strands to make a cohesive team who deliver consistent performances. Respect is a great starting point, but experience is a pretty big component too. If we had a stable organisation with plenty of grey hair around (metaphorically speaking) PCjr would have a support system. In the fins front office, everyone is pretty new and theres no real culture.

That's a big ask for a very unproven guy who is only starting to fill the shoes of OC. Hes probably been hanging around front offices and training since he was 4, but that wouldn't be enough to allay my concerns.

Sorry man, but God just isn't going to coach the Dolphins, so we are going to have to trust a human.

I never said I wanted Del Rio as HC. NEVER have said that. I mentioned he might be an option as a DC if we move to a 4-3 and there is nothing wrong with that. Get your quotes straight, please.

PLEASE find the tread or quote where I said Del Rio should be HC? I mentioned as DC...get your **** right and have some facts in your debating people...I do not care what your take is, but have some substance and get the opposing view point correct when talking ****....

Last night's game showed why McCoy should be a candidate. He was making offense with perhaps the worst QB and the rest of the material on offense. He coached that unit up and got something out of it.

McCoy is my favorite OC coaching candidate at this point. I could be convinced if Chud got serious consideration. However, NO to Carmichael unless Brees, Graham, Colston, Meachem, Sproles, the Oline and Payton can also come. The guy is not ready to be a coach yet. No, it is not based on looks, but there is a lot of talk how he is not necessarily a leader of men. McCoy on the other hand is articulate and has command of the room..

Leadership has to be the most important quality if not THE most important quality in a HC...That is why Zimmer should also be considered. Guys like Chudzinski and Philbin I need more info about in terms of their leadership skills.

he is the only reason i am glad the saints lost now we could interview him, and give him the coaching job

I am really glad we finally got Carmichael on the radar. He is ready for a look-see. He played college baseball. He is a bright guy (has a math degree). He has coached every facet of offense. He has coached with some good head coaches. He understands a fast twitch offense but also the run game. In the Saints-Falcons game when Brees got the record, the broadcasters were raving about the respect the players had for him.

I'm glad we are interviewing him. Maybe Ross will recognize something there. If he interviews like he has a Joe Gibbs quality, snag him. He may really fit the attributes Ross keeps harping on.

Harbaugh passes on us....goes to the 49ers, knocks out the Saints early so we can snag our new hot coach!

....this is the only scenario that will make me feel a little better about losing out on Harbaugh.

Oops, my bad... You wanted Dirk Koetter as OC, who called plays for Del Rio! And this is to make me feel better?

First of all, we were throwing around potential staffs. Secondly, yeah, it should make you feel better because both are considered very good coaches.
