No reason was given but the popular opinion is:
1. He sucked at it. They fired him and Sharpe and put Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott...Should be a good move as you have 2 guys that give actual opinions. Marino was horrible and always said useless and stale stuff.
2. He had a love child with a CBS staffer.
 
I don't care either way. I do like Marino as a player but what would he do for us. I do think it would be a popular decision with fans overall.
As for his personal life, Im, sure we have many people in the organization that have cheated on their wife so not sure how that should preclude him for working with us.
That would have been like not hiring Philbin because his son was a rapist but even more stupid
 
Gotcha, I thought he had a blow up at CBS or something kind of like he did on Inside the NFL a while back. Though the thought of Fart Scott and Tony Gonzalez is not that impressive, especially when Boomer is still there who is just as annoying.

It was reported before that his front office role would likely start on the marketing/buisness side and eventually maybe evolve to the actual football sides of things. He won't be hired to be involved with the football side from day one.
 
It is kinda funny watching the bashing of Marino by a lot of the same people who support players like Pouncey. Marino did a hell of a lot more for this franchise than that guy ever will, despite both apparently being douchebags off the field.

Agreed. Its the very definition of irony.
 
Marino has withdrawn from the lawsuit. He never intended to sue the league. He needs new attorneys.
I think Dan Marino being a part of the football side would be great for the team. In public relations, he would be fine as well.

True Misi breaks into a private dwelling to slug the wrong guy , no big deal but Marino does what probably 80 percent of all men do and he is somehow more of s scumbag than anybody else. I think its wrong to cheat on your spouse and wouldn't do it but this is not some abnormal behavior that only a few people exhibit.

Y'all news casters are over anal- lyzing this whole situation in IMHO. Some of you guys are the same ones that have stated on this Message board that the Dolphins don't have enough of it's own people running the organization, and you want to criticize his relationship, those people love Dan Marino and it doesn't if people in your neck of the woods hate him because he made a mistake like you perfect guys never did, about 75% of you male posters probably have cheated on your wives also but you're not kicking yourself in the ass for it, so let's move on from this BS.

It isn't about any other thing than Dan Marino.....Not me, not you..Not anything but Dan.
He all of a sudden realized what a ****storm that got raised, and, now he's trying to back track.
