Peter King MMQB: Dan Campbell- “We’re about to wake the sleeping giant.”

I mean on paper we have have more talent than we ever had. But is it coachable with this staff and is it cohesive? If not now, when? I still think some schemes will have to change. I know obvious, but extra blocking with a back or a chip with a TE, and buying an extra second will make a difference. Campbell nailed the pulse and the deficiencies of the team. Philbin would only say "watch the film." Sometimes you have to be honest and state the obvious

Again, HOW is this coach going to make these changes? Anyone can say these things, but give us some thoughts on what you are going to do to make these changes happen.
 
Yup, gotta show us on the field.

With that caveat out of the way, he is definitely getting me excited about what might be coming. With a couple wins we'd be right back in the mix - i'd much rather be teased with winning all year than face contemplating our next coach all season.

love this....as if Campbell will swat away the 1-3 first quarter like a pesky fly. Sure hope so.

He has least talked about making big changes to the way they practice - which by extension means making changes to the way they play - so he has at least given us some of the "how"

Well a fee changes have happened, including new staff. I think the prior schemes on defense hasnt worked since the demise last year. So maybe now with the DC gone, they implement , key word here, a new design and show why that would work. If it doesn't then it is personnel

At least we see change potential. All Philbin said was we'll look at the film. I dont think Coyle wanted to change. Well now he is gone. You cant install a new defense, but some changes can make a diff. Im sure personnel will have some input

They have to start by winning against the Titans on Sunday.

He seems very focused.

I hope they have enough foresight to replace Kelvin Shepperd at MLB before the game starts.

Starting one of the rookies would be a major improvement.

Isn't he ranked as the very worst linebacker in the entire NFL right now?

One thing I'm willing to bet on: our ability to block, tackle and hit will be improved. Campbell was a vicious blocking TE. He didn't catch many balls. He will get these guys firing harder. Beyond that, I have no idea. But we should see much better effort and our player's manhood restored from being turned into cream puffs by that coward Philbin.
 
Yea, Yea, Yea it all sounds good but its about the wins....lets see what he can do...like Parcells says, don't tell me about the labor, show me the baby....
