Peyton contacted Dolphins and said move on Per Jeff Darlington Twitter

I won't high five a injury and Manning winning a Superbowl has no bearing on me saying Ross/Ireland=Bozo/Cookie from the Bozo the clown show! But hey let's over pay for some scrub that isn't sn upgrade over Matt Moore!

 . . . well said. I wonder what this contract is gonna be for Flynn. Hopefully it is reasonable enough to where Matt Moore has a fighting chance to compete with a reality of actually still winning the job if he outperforms Flynn.

i see zero chance that moore is starter if flynn is brought in unfortunately.

just like with henne last year he was just given the job despite how he sucks, same will be for flynn. even if philbin says their is a '' competition'', with philbins loyalty to flynn, and people can say all they want how it wouldnt matter in a competition, but it would. in life, people choose favorites, and considering philbin and flynn have a strong relationship, as much as it sucks, barring him suffering a catestrophic injury in camp, he will be named starter whether or not he deserves it.

any other coach we had in here, it can be a fair competition because their would be no bias towards one or the other, but here it is different.

People who thought he was coming here in the first place are the one who had the joke played on them.

Maybe the courtesy Manning extended to us was to allow us the freedom to make a decision on Flynn when he visits (today?). Now there's no uncertainty with Manning, which means no holding back on any moves due to cap space, position needs etc.

Personally I would have been happy to have Manning. But since that's not happening, I'm interested to know whether it's Flynn, Moore or the draft.

If true I'm a little bummed but from the start the odds were against us. I'm glad he notified the front office and we can now go after our QB and other FAs

If indeed Peyton did make the call, I bet behind the scenes, Philbin is jumping for joy. I really don't think he was 100% on board with acquiring Peyton Manning. I think he had no interest in turning over the offensive reigns to him being a new coach.

I think we need a sticky thread that you guys outline what you expect from Flynn. That way i can reference it for the flip floppers and no you aren't pongee of those!

Can't blame him at all. We traded off our best receiver, why would he come here? Everyone got caught up in the Manning doesnt like Marshall BS bc they thought Miami was a shoe in to get him and couldnt understand why he didnt just sign. But why would he want to come to the team with the worst receiving core in the Nfl

Well look at the bright side we won't have to Pay a ton.............

Would have been nice though .....oh well..... Flynn will be the Man, and if he's all the FO thinks maybe it's for the best......

Only time will tell.......

Miami knew this days ago, befor Peyton called. Its evident in that we signed Paul Soliai and Richard Marshall almost immediately after our meeting with Peyton. If we ever thought there was even a chance at signing Peyton, we would have never signed those players.

It's a good thing Stephen Loss isn't a baseball owner as well because he's the worst when it comes to striking out.
