They need better players. Its not rocket science. The current roster is adequate until they face a top DLine then its a disaster.

We have invested big money and high draft picks already in this oline. For years. They need better coaching, not throwing more money and more draft picks at the same problem. It’s why McD demoted Flo’s Oline Coordinator to an assistant and fired last year’s Oline Coordinator and replaced him with a seasoned NFL Coordinator. McD knows that talent isn’t the main issue.

100% correct. If talent were the issue then why did McD demote Flo’s Oline Coordinator to assistant and just fire last year’s Coordinator instead of firing Eich and Jax??? Oline Coaching has been a major issue in Miami for awhile.

Yes, I know few people here are fans of PFF, but on Sunday? Night Football, when players are introduced, PFF rank is given. I'm always interested how often many top teams have a ~20th ranked OLman - maybe two. Given that, AJax isn't an anomaly it the 'typical' OL. Liam is the concern. I'm hoping a new year will help him a lot, but he has a steep hill to climb.

First off, guy who wrote the article doesn't have the starting line up correct.

Eichenburg is no longer the LG. That's now Wynns spot. Eich will be the backup G/C.

I want to remind everyone that I've been Austin Jackson's biggest hater in the entire world, but he looks incredible right now. He's lost so much body fat it's almost unbelievable. For the first time in my life I'm actually comfortable with Jackson starting on this Oline.

Armstead really pisses me off bc he hasn't even made it through a season healthy. There are 4 things that are certain in life, Death, Taxes and Tua and Armstead getting injured every season. If those 2 stay healthy all year were winning a superbowl I have no doubt. Odds on them both staying healthy all year are prob 1/1,000,000 however.

We lack depth on the oline and that's gonna be our downfall if we don't win it all this year. It's likley too late to fix this now so we just need to prey that everyone stays healthy and Williams comes back to play center.

I agree on Jackson and cannot argue Armstead's health. That's why I'd rather have Wynn as that insurance swing tackle backing him up rather than forcing him to start at guard. Has to be a way to figure out LG even if Eich moves to the bench to backup C/G.

It's the 3rd year for Eichenberg and A.J.
It's now or never for these 2.
Zero confidence in either as in the past both have looked terrible and even the best O.C can't cover for those players.

It actually wasn't as bad as what many fans think. 2021 was bad, really bad, but last years was a vast improvement with the addition Williams and Armstead.

2021 was historically bad, and IMO they needed four new starting o-linemen for 2022. However, Grier just got two, and one of them has a habit of getting injured and missing games. That said, 2022 was a slight improvement, and I believe that was due to Armstead being very good (when he's playing), and the fact that the "nobody" depth linemen who replaced Jackson almost all season and Eichenberg when he was hurt outplayed those guys. IOW, so far, Jackson and Eichenberg have been liabilities, not assets, and should be replaced. Also, since Armstead is just a part-time player, they need a second starting caliber LT on the roster so that there isn't a huge drop-off in talent when Armstead gets hurt.

I don't recall Miami getting a second quality LT for this year, and with these two still on the roster, they're probably planning on having Jackson and Eichenberg compete for starting roles. So, I expect to see little, if any, improvement in the o-line from last year.
