PFF Ranks FA Safeties

If he learns to catch he can be a great FS in the NFL. Ill bring him back only because he already knows the DEF and we know what we are getting.

That's his problem. The other guys all make big plays, INT's, big hits. Clemons is just like there out on the field and makes a tackle.

As they say, Clemons is a value pick, not a great player. I found it interesting that, with Coyles new scheme, Clemons was much worse vs the run, Jones was horrible, and Ellerbe and Wheeler were MUCH worse than a year ago.

Maybe, just maybe, it was not the players.

I've been saying this all along. Coyle is not a good DC, and with Philbin in charge nearly every facet of the game has regressed.

I like Coyle. I was down on him but after realising we were 8th in scoring D, with piss poor LB play by players enforced on him, I like him.

With that said, out if all the FA's possibly leaving, I'd be most disappointed if we don't keep Clemons. Grimes and Starks are better players, but they will be too dollar contracts for players who are 30+. Clemons though is underrated and IMO a long term contract for who I feel is an up and coming safety should be one if Hickeys first priorities

Statement from #Bills GM Doug Whaley includes on Byrd: “We’ve chosen not to use the franchise tag on any of our impending unrestricted FAs”

Bills confirm they won't take S Jairus Byrd. Could've tried to trade him. Instead will apparently rely on a comp pick.
