PFT comments laughing at Dolphins and their fans

damn with one post you've moved yourself into position to take the 2012 enemy fan award.

Thanks. As I said, as a Bills fan, I've been through the same thing. It's really demoralizing to fans to constantly have the media sniping at your team, especially when your team isn't making dumb moves but sound football moves.

Besides, us cellar-dwellers need to stick together.

Media has trashed the Dolphins at every turn because it is the vogue thing to do. Certainly, that has not helped local and national perception. We now have a well respected coach who wants to build steadily into a consistent contender. What exactly are people expecting? If nothing else, this past year has sickened me on media with an agenda and fans who are dumb enough to listen. Is everything perfect...no...but give it a chance to work under Philbin.

On a side note, the almighty Patriots had the exact same issue with ticket sales before they drafted Bledsoe with the top pick and started to turn things around. Oh, and the Colts just lost 14K season tickets this past offseason because of Manning..and they have Luck on the way.

They had the exact same problem AFTER drafting Bledsoe, because it took Bob Kraft buying the team from a guy who wanted to move the team to St. Louis to get people to come to Foxboro. And the rest, they say, it history. By Gawd, what a difference a real OWNER makes!

I'm not quite sure why the Fins are so much in the media's cross-hairs lately, but as a Bills fan, I'll say, "better anybody but us cuz it used to be us!"

That said, I don't see how trading away Marshall is bad for the team since he continues to get into trouble and may be facing a suspension. I think it was time to move on. Draft a WR, maybe two.

I'm sorry, but as time is dragging on, I'm beginning to question that story. It's been a while since we've heard anything, I mean ANYTHING, about the case. Remember how we heard incessantly about Big Ben when he was in "trouble" (but ultimately not charged)? I'm not hearing the same about Marshall. This leads me to believe that the prosecution thinks they have a weaker case than some of you may think they have and that the woman he allegedly attacked may be less than trustworthy. I think what's going to happen is that the case is dropped, Marshall plays all 16 games, and Miami is hammered for rushing to judgment on Marshall. At least when the Steelers dumped Santonio Holmes, they had direct evidence of his fights and pot activities.

PFT is a good site for breaking NFL news outside of twitter feeds and some select football forums, but Florio certainly has anti Dolphins bias. I think he's still mad that Pat White was cut.

Marshall has a history with the NFL of getting in trouble, so even if the criminal charges are dropped, Goodell can still suspend him for some games. That's what happened to Roethlisberger even though the charges were eventually dropped, too.

The Bills' Marshawn Lynch was suspended once for 4 games, either for pot or some bad conduct reason. If he gets in trouble again, he's facing a year's suspension, although it seems that he's turned over a new leaf in Seattle and is keeping out of trouble. I think that Chicago is gambling that Marshall can do the same. Lynch's problems stemmed from being an immature twenty-something with more money than brains. Marshall managed to find trouble in both Denver and Miami, and his issues seem to be deeper, so whether a change of scenery helps him or not is questionable.

Most name WRs are divas and aren't always the best teammates, especially when teams are struggling. I think that Miami's FO just figured dealing with Marshall wasn't worth his production.

I really think the Fins are gonna be out for blood to start the year. Everyone on the team is being laughed at like they don't even belong in the NFL anymore. I know I'm pretty fired up over this crap, can't imagine how the players feel. They've gotta be so focused right now. I have a good feeling about this year, I think for the first time in a while we come out strong, ahhh the old days, I wish we could see those times again.
